    I have the Shaker 1000 in my 05 (built Nov. 04) and had problems with it skipping. I took it back for warranty under TSB 05-6-9 and the head unit was replaced. I've had no further problems since. I will say I've never tried mp3's so I can't verify for them but cd's now are ok.

    You could follow the factory settings initially; buy a cheap tread depth gauge and check inner to outer differences, say every or every other oil change interval. Then just adjust pressure slightly to account for uneven wear if there is any.
