    Exactly, you have to buy the tuner. They mate with the car's computer and can only be used on that car. That being said you can upload any tune into the tuner. You can get a "canned" tune sent to you from a dealer online or you can go to a shop and get a custom dyno tune done. With every car...

    Oct.9 Stang Mini Meet (Jersey)

    I should be there. Just had JLT CAI installed and a custom SCT dyno tune done last Sunday too. 299.1 rwhp / 323.7 rwtq. Looking forward to a nice drive out there with the 10% or so gain. :D

    I paid invoice for mine (had x-plan) back in November of last year. Had to fight the dealer tooth and nail to get the x-plan but it was a real steal of a bargain that's for sure.

    20's on the new stang? Performance vs Looks?

    IMO 20's and up are too big. 19s arent bad but I am going to go with 18x9 in the front and 18x10 out back in deep dish bullits. I think anything bigger than 18 is a waste and too much unsprung weight.

    winter = snow

    My 91 LX was a trooper last winter but that will be the last winter I drive any Mustang. Not worth the abuse on the car or myself. Plus it's really not that hard to find a decent beater for under a grand and save yourself the worries and the depreciation of the car.

    Invest like $800 in a beater car, put minimal insurance on it (cost you like $600 per year) and invest in a nice winter cover for the Stang. You will save your car from salt and other winter BS and also keep your miles down.

    Yea, the tuners mate with the car's computer and can't be used on other cars for anything other than reading trouble codes.

    I found a guy in Yonkers called Force Performance. He is going to do a custom SCT tune on a dyno and I keep the Xcal2 for $500. I think it is a fair price so I am setting it up for the first weekend in October.
