    Carbon Fiber Wiper Cowl Cover

Not doing it for weight savings! It's more an accent piece. Especially for the guys whose cowl cover has cracked and don't want to have to pay $200+ for a new one from Ford or LMR. This guy is willing to make a CF one for the same price more or less! Why not? I think it'll look REALLY cool...

BTW for the uninitiated, this is the part we're talking about: I told him I'd prefer it without the faux vents, Just smooth. John

Effective/cheap mods to increase hp for cars?

Wise words! I forgot to add brakes! Do this before you start adding HP to your car. The Cobra Brake upgrade would be a good choice for budget. I like to road race and auto-x my car so I opted for race brakes. They can pull me down from 120 - 20 in seconds! John

    Carbon Fiber Wiper Cowl Cover

From what he is saying he and his dad are Airframe and Powerplant licensed and work for the Air Force. They aren't in the Air Force but they work for them. He says his father used to be a wind tunnel model maker for Grumman. He says his father has vast experience in composite materials and...

    Carbon Fiber Wiper Cowl Cover

Someone on another board is thinking of making a carbon fiber wiper cowl cover for '96 - '04 Mustangs. He wants to see how many people would be interested first. He's thinking of pricing it around $200 - $300. I might be interested since mine is cracked. Any takers? John

I also have an '03 GT so here is my .02! 1. 4:10 Gears - FRPP or Motive 2. Exhaust - I bought MAC because they were having a special. I got the Ceramic coated Long Tubes and Prochamber Mid for $500. They seem to have these specials all the time. Call them and see if they have any forum...

Pictures of custom brake job (SSBC 4 piston + Baer 2 piece rotors) and my new car

Not sure how your center hat is supposed to go on but.....If you look at the above photo of your brakes, the center hat is bolted to the rotor and you can see the bolt heads. On the Wilwoods I have it's just the opposite. The bolt heads go from the inside. On mine there was a small hole...

Any mods that improve ride quality?

My .02 Start small and work your way up. I would go with, as mentioned before, adjustable shocks like Tokico D-Specs and some softer springs. This way you can adjust how soft or stiff you want your ride. This setup is perfect if you like to occasionally open track the car or auto-x it. You'll...

Pictures of custom brake job (SSBC 4 piston + Baer 2 piece rotors) and my new car

Very nice! I opted for the Wilwood SL6's in front and DL4's in back. I have to make sure the passenger has his seatbelt on. If I stop suddenly I may eject him through the windshield! LOL! John P.S. You did safety wire the two piece rotors right?

    Permanent (Re-useable) Air Filter??

Maybe he means the mesh. I don't think any of the filter manufacturers use SS for the mesh. Too cost prohibitive. If you're going to buy a K & N filter, save your money and buy the summit brand one that looks just like it. I asked the sales guy on the phone who made their filter because it...

    Tailight Mod/Sequentials

Does anyone have a How-To and parts list for getting the innermost section of the tailight to light up when I brake or use my turn signal? Pics would be a definite plus! Also, any way to do a poor mans sequential? I'm aware of the kits but I want to see if it's doable without it. John
