    MAC is not crap! I've never heard anyone rag on MAC stuff before, this is new to me. I have a full MAC exhaust and I love it! Even though it's not exactly what you might call street legal, it sounds nasty and the prices for the components can't be beat.

    Compression Ratio too much?

    I run about a 10.2 or 10.3 C/R on shaved stock heads. 93 Octane does the trick every time. When I ran 104 Octane in it, it ran like a raped ape. Runs a little warmer than it would stock, but I'd say it would be fair to expect that in any high compression application.

    Yeah EBay is definitely the place to look. I've seen a Griffin 3-Row Aluminum WITH a 15" Electric Fan setup sell for like 350 bucks on there, and it was a Mustang 5.0-specific application.

    Unfortunately, I don't think you CAN stay with rear drum with a 5-lug setup. At MustangsUnlimited.com, they sell rear conversion kits including all necessary parts for about $1400.

    Weird clicking/popping sound coming from my engine

    A friend of mine had the same noises on his 95 F250 with a 351. He decided not to worry about it because it wasn't causing performance problems. The thermostat was replaced just because of a regular service and it went away.

    5.0 Gear Choice

    I'd go with 3.90s if I were him. Pro 5.0 is the only company that makes such a ratio, at least as far as I know. Think of it this way... 4.10s are GREAT gears for a 5.0L with only minor mods. It was the first thing that was done to my car when my friend still owned it. 3.73s are GREAT gears...

    Is my 331 a 347?

    I would magine that in DSS blocks they'd both be notched the same for clearance and you can use either a 347 crank or a 331. Too much clearance is better than not enough, right? :D
