Hey everybody. I don't know if anyone remembers, but a while back I had posted about parts being stolen from under my hood while my car sat in the driveway. Good news: got the parts back. Bad news: after starting the engine in its stripped state, permanent engine damage resulted and the 331 that once called my Fox's engine bay home has kicked the proverbial bucket.
While getting the parts back AT ALL is a story in itself, we'll leave that out of it to protect parties that have since been arrested and publically humiliated. However, I am grateful that I didn't end up completely losing over $700 worth of parts. Thanks to the careful research of friends, those parts have come home again.
We haven't ripped the engine out of the car yet, and we actually can't wait to see what things look like in there. From the way it sounds, and based on a few professional opinions, it seems as though a rod snapped. I'll keep everyone posted on this as events unfold.
Looks like it's time for a Windsor-based 396!
