    if its speed related, and not RPM, it would have to be related to the joints/rotating assembly or their install.

    Yeah the MAF is probably due for a good cleaning. I have only cleaned the TB so far, and it had a bit of buildup inside it, so logic would state the MAF does as well. The grinding is probably due to clutch and bearing issues?

    Yeah but that .030 extra bore will allow for him to go with a 331 stroker motor with some modifications for relatively inexpensive. If your going to get it bored, may as well set it up for that.

    Hell, my mustang when I go easy gets like 23-25 mpg. It actually does better then my 3L Taurus wagon, and can come close to my gf's 98 z24 cavalier. Both of those are auto's.

    I have full 2.5" with the 245's. No fitment problems on the 89 LX. I also have ravin performance exhaust mufflers, which I'm chucking soon. They are VERY sedate, and actually keep the car fairly tame, even under accel.
