    I would guess he is running a spacer due to the IRS and thats why it sticks out a little. Some Cobras are running a 1 inch spacer for clearance. I really dont think its going to stick out on a solid rear car, not like that anyway. 10.5's and 315's fit easy.

    That is a tall tire and will set his speedo off by at least 5 mph, and I'm not sure but there may be a problem with the ABS as well. Are they 9's? then he would be better off with a 275/40 which is almost exactly the same as stock height, no speedo error. 255/45 on an 8 wouldn't be bad either...

    You can do it and it can be done right, just remember the 10.1 compresion, cast pistons and powder metal rods. There are at least three twin turbo Mach's at the Mach 1 Registry, you might want to check out what they have done.

    :bang: CDC has a Mach 1 with an 03 Cobra motor and the shaker is still functional. Not sure how much work they have in it but it can be done, at least with an Eaton. :bang:

    I have bfg kdw 285's on 9's and they bulge a little, thats as big as I would go. 275's will handle better and 265 would be the max I would do on the front. I checked and 35's all the way around would be the closest match for the sizes you listed. Check discount tire direct, info center, tire...

    I got the instructions for SLP's long tube install with my x pipe and they say its an 8hr+ job, and that would be for somebody who knows what they are doing.

    No it is not the same. Different heads, cams, I know ther is more but cant say off the top of my head and dont want to get it wrong. Rated lower but dynos higher and is a bit faster, 3:55's help.

    The 285/35 18, according to the Discount Tire calculator, will only set your speedo off by .43 mph at 65. 245's will look skinny on a 9, especially the rear.
