Just picked up my graduation present

It might get somewhat better the more you drive it, but keep in mind it will never be as street-friendly as a T5. That's the price you pay for having a tranny that can take more abuse (well, except in the case of a G-Force which I hear shifts just like a stock T5).

What subframe connectors? Convertible guys in here!

I don't have a convertible, but I love my Maximum Motorsports full-lengths!! The only other ones I'd consider are Global West, and those are more expensive. I got my MM full lengths for $144 shipped to my door which is the lowest price on them that I've found.

18 inch y2k's worth the extra money?

Where did you get those prices, custom89stang? www.gefracing.com sells the Y2K Cobra R's (18 x 9.5) for $169 each, or $285 each of you want the chrome ones. That's a lot cheaper than what you listed, and these are listed as "Original equipment on the 2000 Cobra R Mustang" so I think they're...

Just picked up my graduation present

That's awesome man. I'm trying to score a killer deal on a 3550, but if I had the bling to buy a new tranny it would be a TKO 500 or 600. There really isn't much price difference between the 2, and the 600 is stronger and can apparently take more punishment. Good choice!

    i'm dead (long)

96-98's that do the PI headswap are slightly faster than a stock 99-04 due to increased compression, right? So that would put a PI'ed 96-98 in the high 13's...and mid 13's with gears and a few bolt-ons. Am I correct? If so, you're right...an H/C/I 94/95 is easily a mid 13 second car...and...

OT: Do I have a chance against my friends Acura?

Good luck man! Let us know how it turns out! If you get traction you should be able to take him. Too bad you can't stick a 75 shot on there just in case he gets the jump on ya. :)

Bent a pushrod, what are some of the possible causes?

You know, I had one bend also on my old combo. My guess is it was caused by incorrect rocker geometry. I recently took off my ported E7's and Crane 1.72 rockers and found 1 bent pushrod...it didn't seem to affect anything but maybe I got lucky because I'm sure that's not good.

    Ed Curtis Cam is here!!!

Well then I got 1 word for ya. Ronco. "Set it...and FORGET IT!" :D Ha, where have I heard that before? This time next year you'll be shopping for a Kenne Bell or a Novi 2000. And sending love notes to Ed Curtis because you're so happy with the cam. Sorry, I didn't catch that?? Tim...

I getting custom licence plate , tell me what you think

Not really, there is a blown H/C/I LT1 that runs 10's at Bristol. :)

I getting custom licence plate , tell me what you think

I thought about that but it seems like the police would hassle you over it since it wouldn't be "legal." Depends on the state. I thought about getting I8URRICE because we're allowed 8 alphanumeric characters.

I getting custom licence plate , tell me what you think

LOL that one is pretty cool, but are you even allowed to have a decimal/period on a license plate?

    Ed Curtis Cam is here!!!

Yep, but a TwEECer has endless benefits. It'll save you money in the long run if you want to make the effort to learn how to use it. By the time you'd pay JMS for a chip and buy a new MAF for your injectors, you could have bought a TwEECer and could tune your car for as long as you own it...

Fuel Pump Intallation and what fuel pump to get

You can use any size you want. Most people go ahead and go with a 190 or 255 lph, because: a) there isn't any harm in going with a hi-flow fuel pump b) the 255 lph is only $110 or so; the 190 lph is $89, so not much price difference c) they will support all the bolt-ons you want. The only...

What he said. Check out the corral.net classifieds. There are stock wheels for sale all the time on there.

    Ed Curtis Cam is here!!!

It's really just a simple matter of raising the idle enough to where the car will not die when a cam with such a low LSA is installed. I'm sure you could tell JMS to raise your idle to 800-900 and the car would be drivable on the street. But I second the TwEECer idea. It will save you money...

    what springs

A lot of people seem to like the FMS "C" springs. They give a good drop and ride pretty nice. Other good options are Steeda Sport springs, Eibachs, or H&R's.

Why does my car top out at 120????

No kidding. I remember when I wanted 4.10's and everybody was like "Don't do it, you won't be able to go 150mph+ anymore!" So what? Big f'n deal! We don't need people going that fast on the streets anyway. My car tops out around 130-135 with the 4.10's but it gets there quick as hell...and...

    Suspension suggestions?

If you don't want to spend a lot then definitely don't get Bilsteins. They are the best but they are also the most expensive. They have a lifetime warranty, but that won't do you a lot of good if you only plan to keep the car a few more years. I believe KYB shocks and struts are cheaper...
