    Yes, you are correct. Here, the kit is a lil cheaper but you are getting used axles and drums.

    front tires are 245/45/17 on an 8". The fronts have a 5.72" backspace where the rears have a 6.0". 17x9's might be a lil wide for the front, that's why I went w/ the 8's up front.

    I ran a 275/40/17 on that exact rim w/ no problems. Quads removed 17x8's on the front though. Here is a post of mine from another forum. If you don't want to go through the trouble of the sn95 conversion, this is what you have to do to make the mk 7 rotors work. No brake upgrade...

    Just for the ones for the uppers. they have the nylock nuts. I got one of the guys in the shop to help. The rest I just hit w/ an impact and they tightened right up.

    propper backspacing?

    Get 5.5 b/s on an 8" rim. Depending on what size tire you run, the 4.5 may stick out of the well. Here's mine, 8" rim, 5.5" b/s 28x11.50x15 MT et street. Nice fit.
