    Installing S-trim. Belt too short.

Me and a buddy actually had to put the belt on the pulley, then slide the pulley onto the blower. We fought and fought with it, but couldn't get it on with the pulley installed, so we took it off, then slid it on with the belt over it. After that, it was fine.

    Gas Mileage

My car gets about 13 mpg. That is why it's been sitting an awful lot lately. I've found over the years that any kind of city driving in the Mustangs really kills the milage. That's why I have a Focus now.

Are the Afr 185cc heads to big for a stock 302 short block?

And the 2.02 valves can present a real clearance issue with a cam with any kind of high duration. If it's gonna be your driver, I'd suggest either the 165's, or like hllon said, up the cubes. I ran the 185's on a stock block, and it wasn't quite right of a combo, IMO.

    94 Cobra Cam question

The Cobra cams are not the E cam. I'm pretty sure that they are just the 5.0 HO cam, albeit with 1.72 RR's. If he does go with the E cam, he'll propbably have to upgrade his stock springs. IMO, I'd go with another cam choice, but thats just me.

    Valves in AFR 185 question

DSS has pistons to fit either head. But you have to tell them which head you are running. I got pistons from them, they fit great, and I totally recommend them.

    Cam follower??? Please help

A cam follower is akin to a rocker arm, on an overhead cam motor. If it's only a little worn, then it can cause a noise, and eventually a bigger problem, but could be fine for a while. You coulod replace them with the motor still in tho.

check this " running hot" problem out...

With no TS in, which I do in the summer, you don't have to burp the system, cuz it fills completely. Everytime I've done it, I was able to put all the coolant I drained out back in. Are you still using the stock gauge, cuz after I swapped on my aluminum heads, my stock gauge has always read...

    buying a cam tomorrow

The drivability is beeter than what it was with my B cam quite frankly. And this setup is quite a bit more aggressive. If your a bit worried about drivabilty, maybe getting a stage 1 TF cam would be a better choice for you. I've had some pretty rough daily drivers, and all I have to say is...

1.7 RR install question...I think something is wrong.....

It shouldn't move off of the valve. Maybe some back and forth, but not completely off. You might need different length push rods too. Not for sure on the P heads.

    rookie ques bout piston2valve clearance

Haven't had it to the dyno, but I figure it should be good for around 330ish at the rear wheels. I like the combo, as it's gone deep into the 12's with spray on street tires, but I just scored a 351 block from a friend of mine, so I'm off to build a 392 for next year. Car's mad fun as it is...

tfs stage 2 cam help pls

Are your springs good for that much lift? I had to upgrade the spings on my AFR's to cover that much lift. And mine is reasonably quiet.

Where to buy Upgraded Springs For 185 AFR's(can't find them anywhere

i got some comp cam srpings from summit. Sorry, i don't have a part #, but I just got the same size diameter springs, and installed height. Mine works with .600 lift.

    7.5 to 8.8 swap Q's

The rear shocks were different on mine. I just swapped in some 5.0 shocks. And I welded the quad shock mounts too.

Also, that dexcool can clog up coolant passages. My brother in law's Blazer had that stuff in it from the factory, and it actually blew an intake gasket cuz it plugged up the head coolant passages.

    clutch / transmission problems?

Some cluthes are preseposed to chatter. My freinds Spec clutch chatters a bit, but not anything that bothers him. I have a similar clutch to the king cobra, and it's smooth for me. Did you happen to resurface the flywheel while it was out?

    Computer tune

Hmmm, I had a very similar setup before, and it ran pretty good with the stock ecu. But it did have a hard time idling at the stock 675. After I got my TwEECer, I just jacked the idle to 950, no more problems. The B cam is a bit aggressive for a stock ecu, but shouldn't be too hard to manage.

buying a 4 cylinder and wanna convert

I sugges5t getting a complete parts car. I did the swap, and was amazed at all the little things that I needed from the donor car, that I probably would have never found at a junkyard. And I did it on a VERY small budget. But it is very rewardeing to say that YOU built the car. At least I think.

    rookie ques bout piston2valve clearance

Give DSS a call, they have stroker kits in stock that have pistons that will clear your exact combo. I gave them a call, told them what I had, and they had the right pistons on the shelf. Got them in a cpouple days, and no clearance issues at all. Very pleased, especiallt after the tech guy...

Unused button on dash, good nitrous switch?

You can use the GT switch, and there should even be the wiring pigtail in there. My last LX had one there, just not plugged in. I used it to power an electric fan tho.
