    I agree, did a 66 coupe ground up,now my 67fastback,maybe 1 more left in me,getting harder to crawl in &out from underneath & lay there welding & bondo. no room or money for lift.

    Its 4 bolt main,but in 72 they went to open chamber heads with lower compression due to lower octane gas. its mechanical cam & everything else like the 71 boss,just lower compression

    This is a whole motor with a c-6,and if i understand correctly this is basically a boss motor for 72, but with open chamber heads. I may just buy the motor to keep & use on next project.

    I would say it depends on your skill level,& knowing what you can realisticly do. you see so many for sale completly disasembled because they strip them down & have no clue how to put them back together. you also need to know it wont be done in 6 months. show you mine in 2 years

    How about a Q code 72 351c, I can get one at a reasonable price, I think-$1000-1200. That would make for a pretty potent ride.

    I'll send some pictures as soon as we find my sons camera. Its all in pieces, had the cowl off to weld in fresh air vents. Fenders,& hood are off,all suspension & up on jack stands. But i"ll send some.

    I won't take anything as a knock,I have been out of messing around with stangs for 16 years, no money, starting family & business ect. Now I have a solid shell to start with & looking for some info. I welcome all real advice & info, then will decide. thanks for the input. tim

    I have a 67 fastback that i'm doing a ground up restoration. I have a good shell to start with. no motor trans interior or wiring. it is a C code lime gold color,c4 auto. ihave found a#s matching 289-2bbl c4 trans(c code). should i do an original restoration,or would it hurt the value to install...
