Buying a intercooler. Does it matter if its for a turbo or supercharger?

Wow, slow95, dont try to sound too much like a jerk. Go air to air. An intercooler is an intercooler, and those ads are just trying to market to turbo guys. The plumbing is actually really easy. As far as losing boost, the point of the intercooler is that you can make more power with less...

    carb'd 90 notch ignition problem???

Regardless, you should always have a ground from the engine to the chassis. Being that you have such a hot ignition, that could likely be the problem. You should also try Corral.net because they have people that actually answer questions.

    Aftermarket and Mustangs don't mix....

Ok, fixed the control arm problem. I ground down the lip on the nut and it fits in there snug. No thanks to anybody here, but at least thats one problem down. Not to sound like a jerk but what happened to this site?? It use to be that you could get real tech help with any problem. Now...

    Aftermarket and Mustangs don't mix....

On the back side of the back bolt for the control arms, both sides, they drilled the hole way too close to the top piece of metal that bolts to the body of the car. There is not enough room to get a bolt of a nut in there without hacking up the member or shaving off a flat from the fastener...

    Aftermarket and Mustangs don't mix....

Being that I work on Fords, no I've never gotten a part that fit. As for grade 8, it wont be as strong as the factory bolts. Its not the strength, its trying to get the bolt to fit. I cant believe nobody here has taken apart lower control arms before.

    need some rear end help.

If you had a bad bearing you'd not only hear it all the time because its more of a rotational thing than a side load bearer, but you'd be leaking gear oil out the sides and into your drum brakes. Check the play with the pumpkin cover off and see how that looks. Do you get a clunking noise when...

    Aftermarket and Mustangs don't mix....

I know that, but parts from the same company should work, and I have no clue how to fix this issue with the K-member.

    Aftermarket and Mustangs don't mix....

...and I'll explain why. As some of you know, I've been redoing my 460/Tremec setup with all new goodies. I kinda went all out, but I've run into a lot of assinine problems that I shouldnt be. Allow me to review these issues so I can vent about how the aftermarket screws up more with Fords...

Heres how the plan went horribly wrong!

Only steeda makes those balljoints, and the rest I got from Summitracing. I've spent 5000 with summit in the past 2 months. I blame steeda because they made no mention of fitment issues and even cited the parts being used with aftermarket tubular components. I'll scrap the X2s, and get...

Heres how the plan went horribly wrong!

I have an 85 GT as you most know, and the plan was to install a tubular K-member,but since its an 85 I have to run either newer lower control arms or tubular control arms so I got the arms. You all told me that 95+ control arms would mess up the track so I bought the 87-93 arms. But since I...

Lets straighten out my suspension before I buy everything.

Is anybody here interested in seeing this come together. I would think a lot of people here would like to see these swaps done. I was going to take a bunch of pics and show them but I rarely get anybody who cares about how my project is coming along. Kinda feel like I'm doing this all alone.

Lets straighten out my suspension before I buy everything.

Well, I ordered the bumpsteer kit, X2 balljoints, fox tub. control arms, but they wont be here for the weekend so I'll try to find something else to work on.

Lets straighten out my suspension before I buy everything.

I'm not going crazy with the Tube arms, just regular ones so no rod ends or adjustability. I already have the C/C plates with spherical bushings. I guess I'm just tired of guess work because it looks like most coilover conversion kits dont have an adjustability for ride height except the QA1's...

Lets straighten out my suspension before I buy everything.

I've seen on here that someone used their pre 86 control arms with a QA1 K-member and if that is the case, I would do that because I already have Eibach springs that have been working great. Plus it would save $500.

What brand tools should i buy?

I'm Master certified and always bought my tools from Matco for several reasons. I never had a problem with their tools and the tool guy came every week. Unless you are a professional, do not buy truck tools because you'll pay hell trying to get the stuff warrantied. You are best getting...

Lets straighten out my suspension before I buy everything.

Ok, I'm redoing my entire front end and money is no option. This includes the suspension and the brakes, but aside from the spindles we'll worry about the brakes later. I currently have a Flaming Rivers rack, manual, for pre 94 mustangs. A QA1 tubular K-member, steel C/C plates with...
