    Newbie here.

Welcome to SN. I think the GT is great choice, of course, I am biased. :) You might consider a 99 or newer. They have "performance improved" heads, and are quicker than the 98. The mods that a lot of people do first are a K&N filter (or equiv) and a cat-back exhaust. Also, I wish I had...

    Just test drove a 03 4.6???

I don't know about the 5.0, but the 4.6 is kind of a dog. The traction control will make ZERO power difference if you are not spinning the wheels. If it came on, you would know. If feels like someone shoved a potato up the exhaust pipes.

    Switching to IRS. Driveshaft length?

Yes, bought one this morning. Seems like it should be easy to find someone. Of course, you can only count on being up to your ass in raincoats on a sunny day.

    Switching to IRS. Driveshaft length?

I'm swapping out my solid axel for an irs. Is the driveshaft the same length? If not, what do I need to buy?

    Switching to IRS. Driveshaft length?

That's a good idea, don't know why I didn't think of it. Maybe I should ask myself whether magnapacks would be better than magnaflows.

    Switching to IRS. Driveshaft length?

Well, maybe I'll have better luck with this question: Magnaflow or Magna pack? Oh and can somebody post a picture of a stang with...................

    Switching to IRS. Driveshaft length?

Is there a difference in driveshaft length between the solid axel and the irs? If so, what do I need to buy?

    How screwed am I?

I had a stripped plug hole in my Toyota pick-up. Had a local shop put a helicoil in ($40). It's been running fine for an additional 100,000 miles.

Grind going into 3rd with Tri-ax

I can't imagine that the shifter would cause that problem. The only thing I can even imagine is that the stops arent adjusted right.

    CERVINIS COBRA R HOOD?

Sorry about the mis-info. I went back and looked it up, it was a post in the 5.0 forum that said the R hood was vented, not the late model hood.

    HELP! Stripped brake caliper bolt!

WD40 is useless for that kind of work. Go to Autozone and get some PB Blaster. Here is a rounded bolt removal tools set from Sears. http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&pid=00946338000

    CERVINIS COBRA R HOOD?

I'm 99% sure that the Cervinis "R" hood is vented at the rear. Not on the top though. You can see them if you look VERY CLOSELY at this picture: http://www.cervinis.com/images/cobrakitsideLG.jpg
