    Strange electronic box

    Ill try to take a pic tonight. It was painted black at one point, but a lot of the paint has flaked off, especially where the cooling fins are. BTW, it is not on the front panel, but at the bottom of the inner left fender. I know where the voltage regulator is.

    1.7 Rockers with E303 cam???

    I swapped 1.6 for 1.7 comp roller tip rockers, and could not tell any difference at all. plus I had to get longer pushrods to get the rocker centered on the valve. I ended up putting the stock 1.6's back on.

    Shifting Issue (Cable or Clutch!)

    You can adjust your cable with fender shims, or cut a section out of a large washer to pull the cable tighter at the firewall. When i have trouble with mine, I adjust the clutch from the bottom, and add fluid. it is usually a cup or two low.

    Has anyone put TBI fuel injection on an older mustang? Bit pricy over 1000, but I would bet it to be reliable, and fuel efficient.

    66 Mustang Steering

    If the tie rod ends are bumping up against each other, you can trim a little off of both of them to give you more adjustment. One side is normal fine thread, but the other side is LEFT hand thread, so be careful when you clean up the threads. Left hand sae dies dont grow on trees.

    32 is generally legal in all 50. 20 is close enough, that you usually wont get pulled over for it. Back window can be limo, so you only need to be concerned with the sides.

    I used Heddman 88400 shorties. They clear everything reamrkably well, even plug wires on drivers side.

    Is it possible to make 400hp out of 302 with just heads?

    Actually they used AFR 165 heads. I just bolted a set of the same heads on my roller block, and though it does feel stronger, I doubt I am anywhere near 400 at the crank.

    Your flywheel will need to be late model, but with 28 0z imbalance. I would dump the stock linkage and use the cable conversion from Mustang Steve. Other than exhaust header clearances, I dont see the downside. I have had the cable for 2 years, and has not let me down. Not sure about...

    All I wanted to do is raise the octane on the cheap. Tolulene is an option, but is smelly and toxic. I have a readily available supply of E85, and am going to blend in one gallon to a tank and see what happens.

    I think the 20" is well worth the effort. I have had cooling issues with every 16" stock size core rad I have bought. I have a three row aluminum now, and overheats at idle in summer, but cools too good in winter, and cant get any inside heat!!!
