    who is wrong?

The number describes the heat range, not necessarily the size. 26's are one heat range warmer than 25's... Depending on the year, 302/5.0 engines did use different heat ranges... For '87-'95 Mustangs, 25's are correct.

    Notched Pistons help

Those that have had them clear the factory pistons have been LUCKY! Checking piston to valve clearance is critical.. Chances are the 2.02 intake won't clear the factory valve reliefs. Be sure to use clay and MEASURE the amount of clearance... Just because they don't hit when turning over by...

    3.8 bellhousing

No. The fox shaft is too short. You will need to either use the fox bell, or keep the SN input. I believe there's a starter issue as well...?

Search is your friend... Having said that, the bearing from an early-mid '80's Ranger diesel is the one you want. P/N: BCA 202SS

Forged or not ???? that is the question

Factory 289-302-351W rods are forged, and always have been. '85- early '92 5.0 pistons are TRW forged, mid '92-'01 are Hypereutectic.

    New Knight Rider

GM threw a lot of coin at the studio to use their models for most of the vehicles. Never mind that bumble bee was originally a Volkswagen beetle.

FORD RACING E303 AND CRANE 1.7 ROCKERS

BBK LT's work great. You will need to use 90* plug boots, and a cut down spark plug socket to change the # 5, 6, and 7 plugs. I can still change mine faster than on a stocker.

    Fender Size?

Everyone got it. The fenders are completely interchangeable, as long as you have the correct extensions to match them. If you score a set of '79-'90 fenders, you will need the matching extensions. If you find a set of '91-'93 fenders, you can re-use your originals.

What swaps for a starter, dist. and Harmonic balancer?

Punisher got most of it... You will also need the oil pan, pump, pick-up, and dipstick from the mustang. I'd just go buy a new pump... They're cheap and it's good insurance. You can use the Exploder starter, but it is the newer mini-starter used an '92 and up mustangs, so you will have to do a...

Best carb, intake, cam combo for a GT-40 of of a explorer?

If you're going carb, the style of EGR on the Exploder engine does not matter... It only affects the intake, and comes into play if you're staying injected. If you NEED to retain the EGR with a carb, you're limited to either the Performer 5.0, or the stock '83-'85 4V intake. You will also...

    351m in a 79

Any fox style motor mount will work. BUT... you're screwed for headers. Hooker makes a set for 351C's, but the M is over an inch wider... plus it's a boat anchor. Toss it and go find a C if you want a Cleveland based motor.

    what type of heads?

They are the same head. The base or "Street Heats" are drilled for smog, while the "Track Heats" are not and come with the upgraded springs.

I mentioned above the the TFS 6.3's gave the best pattern... I should have added that the marks were right in the middle.

    Help! Valvetrain issues...

Hey folks, I've got some valvetrain issues I really need help with. No matter what I do, I can't get rid of some really odd noises with my rockers. I'm running the SpeedPro (CS1117R) version of the Wolverine 1087 with matching springs, Crane pedestal to stud conversion, and Crane Energizer 1.6...

Has anyone every seen a Capri/Notch?

FYI, Mustang notches built in Mexico came FROM THE FACTORY with Capri front-ends, while hatches had standard Mustang stuff up front and Capri flared rear quarters.

    Body Style Questions

BTW, the wiring is there for the fog lights, it's even plugged in to the dummy switch on the LX, you just have to break out a small tab on the switch, and it'll work. Take a good look at it, and you'll see it.

IS A 2000 EXPLORER MOTOR CLOSE TO A 91 HO

StangGt got it. While you're in there, swap the Exploder cam for the HO, or a TFS stage 1. You'll end up with a motor capable of 260-300 RWHP, depending on cam choice, tune, and supporting mods. Keep in mind that any cam other than the wimpy exploder job will need upgraded valve springs. TFS...
