    98 s/c or 03 cobra

Depends...if the 98 is paid off and you have some cash, then you could put a blower on your 98. With an 03, you are going to have monthly payments, plus if you want to mod it that's more money. Pro's of the 03....has a blower already, has the IRS set up that has been holding up to some...

    venom...need traction

True...but the cost of putting in a biult solid axle vs. an 03 IRS is about the same I believe. So if you are spending the money, might as well go with the solid if you want to drag race. I held out for a long time because I liked the IRS so much....now that I have the solid I don't know why...

    venom...need traction

Stop the hop at it may prolong the life, but I wouldn't say it would be reliable. The 99's are easily the weakest shafts. Get a high horsepower car with our IRS, and even with no hop you will break a 1/2 shaft. People have even broken the aftermarket shafts on our cars when running 330RWHP...

    venom...need traction

With all the torque you will get from the nitrous....and your plans to hit 11's....your 1/2 shafts will not last. You will probably snap one on your first launch. Good luck!! My two friends that had nitrous on their 99 and 01 Cobra both went to a solid axle. It's the only way to...

    Glowing exhaust!!!???

You have no cats...it's unburnt fuel igniting. No big deal if it shoots a small flame out the tailpipe on a high RPM shift.

4.10's and the 1/4 On an '01 Cobra

At the traps I was crossing close to redline in 4th....and my MPH was 118. This was on a stock diameter tire....if I had been running a 27" or 28" tall tire out back, it would be good for more MPH if I was capable of it.

4.10's and the 1/4 On an '01 Cobra

Yup, with 4.10's your shift right before the traps.....this may lower your mph, but still help your ET's slightly. 4.30's would be good for you since your n/a still. 4.56 if you drag the car often. 4.10's are a great street gear though. Depends on what the purpose of the car is. I had...

    Ported heads, new cam profile???

I'd listen to Lafear on the cam advice.....I can tell you what you need to know about supercharging if you become interested in that. As for those pics...what's wrong with people :uzi:

Need parts list for 03 Cobra fuel system setup

Actually, gonna reuse the injectors and MAF. Lid is confident they will be fine up to the power levels I'll be pushing. I've also researched and found numerous 03+ Cobra's pushing over 600RWHP on their stock injectors, MAF and fuel pumps, just adding the BAP for more fuel. If I have to go...

Need parts list for 03 Cobra fuel system setup

Thanks....I found out that on the 99's I may have to splice into the 3-wire harness.....otherwise, plug and play. Should be around 570RWHP or so. I have the BAP already, and there are 03+ Cobra's running over 650 like that. More than I'll ever see most likely.

99 cobra lack of performance questions

I have no sticker....and I took it there myself.

    Ported heads, new cam profile???

Well, they are reconditioned heads then.....they will use yours for the next guys car. That's why happened to my heads as well. That's a bold claim they make...I'll just say that. Look at Lafear01's package (he posted above)...he has a bigbore, ported heads, intake, cams, LT's, o/r X and...

    Ported heads, new cam profile???

If you are n/a, then porting your heads and going with a moderate cam profile (nothing crazy) should net you on average around 25-35RWHP or so. Most places are telling me I would gain around 40-60RWHP with ported heads (which I just had done) and cams....but I am blown. Problem for us 4V...

Which Clutch is best for my application

Honestly, for the amount of hp/tq you have, and since it's daily driven and you want to keep it streetable, just replace your clutch with another OEM 11" clutch. No chatter, stock feel, you know what to expect, and it can handle a lot of abuse.

Need parts list for 03 Cobra fuel system setup

I'm looking to add an 03 fuel tank/pump set up to my 99 s/c Cobra. Can someone that has done this give me an exact parts list of what I will need? I know I need the tank, the dual Cobra pumps.....what other things do I need? (lines, straps, bracket, ect...) Thanks. Oh, I'll also be...

    99 Cobra owners please respond!!

Sounds about right...most stock 99-01's are around 13.8 @ 101-102mph Some tracks measure your speed differently which can throw the numbers off some. With just a K&N air filter, o/r H and FlowMasters I got a 13.7 @106mph (if I remember right).

    Which Hood? And which company?

Extremely happy with my Cervini's Cobra R hood. Paint shop said it was one of the best prepped figerglass pieces they had seen in a long time. Very happy with my hood, so I say go with Cervini.

Will '03 Cobra MAF bolt to '01 Cobra?

It's not calibrated for boost...but it is calibrated for their 39 lb injectors. So you would have to swap out the injectors as well. All this and you still wouldn't see any gain in RWHP.

    Lookin at 02 saleen

IMHO, if you want a street car that looks sweet and gets lots of attention, the Saleen is a nice choice. They are quick too. But if you want a true performer, this might not be the car for you. Friend of mine has a 2002 convertible 281 s/c. Did full exhaust, pulley, and tune. Running on...
