    Mustangs Anonymous

I'm Alan, and I just couldn't stop with my own Mustang addiction. I became a "dealer" to other Mustang junkies, too! :nice:

    inspection sticker

I just peeled a TX sticker (current) off of a Bronco I brought home from Austin. The sticker is designed to come apart in several circles if removed. It would have been quite a trick to get it off in one perfect piece. Just passed TN inspection and got my fox back on the road. Failed the...

    getting engine noise through tweeters

The primary cause of alternator whine is a poor amplifier ground. Make sure the amp's ground is correct, meaning you've stripped the paint to bare metal and use a quality bolt/terminal. Where is the amp grounded now? I have also found that removing the ground from the harness (on...

Tonight, found pics of my favorite fox body system!

You're welcome. If you check out that site, look at the HF series vinyl. Best I've ever used, and lots of colors. Dyes easily also. It's the stuff I used on my door panels and false floor in the hatch. Spendy, but the ease of wrapping more than makes up for it, imo.

Who has had their MSD Ignition go bad?

You'll need a good, strong contact adhesive. Landau roof adhesive (from a body/paint shop) stands up to heat very well, and holds pretty strong. You'll pay for it, but www.selectproducts.com has some quality materials. I buy from them when projects like this come up.

How do you surf on a lake without waves? Dynamite could help? Video!

You know, you just can't throw dynamite around like you used to be able to. Pretty interesting vid, has me on the fence about :bs: or no :bs:

Tonight, found pics of my favorite fox body system!

You're correct, the added weight doesn't help. My friend and I did the install in this years 5.0 KOTS winning car, and built a "light weight" system for it. All told, the system weighed less (by a few pounds) than the spare/jack/Mach 460 equipment which was removed. 10.teens with the system...

Tonight, found pics of my favorite fox body system!

For years, I thought I had no pics of a system I built for a friend's 93 LX. I had one picture in my PC of the system after I had started to transfer and re-do the install in my own fox. Tonight, my wife was digging through old photo albums and I took a look with her. Found pictures from a...

as usual i had to do a stereo in the fox

Yea, I've always like the MS/MPS stuff from PG. After that, I lost interest and moved to PPI and then Xtant. I've had some Tube Driver stuff, great old amps! I built my Mustang's system with the USACi rulebook on the bench. It's been to one show, a regional 3x event, and it took 1st and...

as usual i had to do a stereo in the fox

superspec, I like your choice of gear! Install is nice and clean looking. I chose to rock the old school equipment in my fox, too. Only the speakers were new, everything else was found in new-old-stock or mint on Ebay over a few months. Eclipse 5302, PPI PAR-245 and EPX-223 "double...

My new toy is a 5.0, but not a Stang!

Gonna keep it simple, as the truck is going to need to keep a good percentage of its "utility". In the stang, naaaaaaa!! Using a bunch of gear I've had in storage, should be a ground pounder, which is something I'm not against. :D Plan to use my Eclipse 7002 video deck, undecided on...

Oh yea, you are correct! Next up is a "custom audio build diary" on the full size Bronco forum. ;)
