    That is the reason a Satchel is inferior, because it does not have a Panhard or Watts. With the additional lateral link you can adjust the rear roll center. It could be argued that a Satchel link suspension could be made to do the same, but a Panhard would allow more adjustment and be easier.

    There's a problem with your math. An 8" wheel is actually 9" wide when measured. This is because the advertised width is measured from bead to bead. The actual width includes the outer material past the inner bead...aprox 1/2" each side. An 8" wheel with 0 offset will have a BS measurment of 4.5".
