    Noise after trans fluid change

What size tools do you need for the drain and fill plug? I am planning on changing my fluid soon. I was thinking about using 3qts of mobil1 with .5 of some additive, I don't see the point in buying an extra quart of mobil1 if it only takes .2 Any advice before I get my hands dirty?? 2003...

    Tapping sound when cold

You have to tell us what you paid for it! When I bought my mustang the #7 spark plug was completly closed (the metal thing on top was smashed and welded onto the electrode) after I replaced the spark plugs it idled and ran much smoother. Just about everyone recommends the motorcraft filter...

    Installing X-pipe~Need help

Every how to post I have came across so far says that I will need extensions to get to the passenger side head bolt. I am a little confused by this, can some one post pics or a list of the exact size/amount of extensions I will need. Also is there any other special tools I will need for the job...

    X-pipe install..Tools needed???

Thanks for the input guys! I will probably do it after Christmas, I asked for a couple ramps. Do you guys think they're low enough or will I scrape? http://www.autozone.com/selectedZip,52804/initialAction,accessoryProductDetail/initialR,NONAPP19841/shopping/selectZip.htm

    X-pipe install..Tools needed???

I always see post that say, all you need for a x-pipe install is some extensions to get to the passenger bolt. I have yet to come across a detailed description of EXACTLY what tools are needed for the job. Also is there a detailed writeup somewhere on how to do it? I have a X-pipe that has been...

    kenne bell and Turbo Combo

You would be a fool to pass that up. I believe that all 99+ cobra engines have forged cranks, rods and an aluminum block. I am not 100% sure about the pistons, those may only be forged in the 03+ don't take my word on that though. Even the most die hard 5.0 fan has to admit that the Cobra 4.6 is...

    Best brand oil filter?

For the money, the Motorcraft filter cannot be beat. It is a exceptional filter that I would easily pay $10 for. Ford wouldn't recommend it unless they knew it does the job well. If I cannot get a Motorcraft I usually spring for the Mobil 1 filter. The M1 filter is made of sythetic fibers etc...

I know the main differences, but can someone explain.....

The PI 4.6l arrived in 1999 along with the new "bolder" looks. 99-04's are considered new edges. They have 260-265hp and 300-305 trq.

AWD vs RWD!!! my friend an i are fighting about this

Not true. An awd system typically has a higher drivetrain loss than a rwd or fwd vehicle. Given that two cars are exactly the same weight and crank hp the rwd will lay more hp down to the ground (where it matters) For example a mustang with 300hp has maybe a 20% drivetrain loss which ends up...

How accurate is the stock tachometer?

Wow, something tells me that you will be rebuilding an engine very very soon:rolleyes: . Ok hitting the rev limiter whilst driving is bad enough, but to rev like that when not under load? are you retarded??? I would NEVER exceed 4k in neutral. And you will be slower if you bounce off the...

    Mustang dies at Highway speeds!!

Yeah I have disconnected the battery numerous times. Defiantly not a problem with the ECU. I am starting to the that whoever programmed the Engine Control Unit for Ford did a ****ty job and the computer isnt telling the IAC how to function properly. I have searched and searched but cannot find...

    Mustang dies at Highway speeds!!

This is really getting on my nerves because of how dangerous it is. Basically, my car will try to kill itself when I push the clutch in and roll to a stop in neutral. I have seen sooo many people complaining about this and all everyone says is "its the IAC" well I replaced that and it is still...

    First Tattoo...

There is one rule when it comes to tattoos, don't get anything you will regret later. That is why you never get #1 band names or #2 girlfriends names I have seen some pretty tacky car tattoos, and to be honest I have seen some really ugly mustang tattoos but yours is the exception. I'm glad...

Want to run with the BIG BOYS!

Ouch how did that happen? I had a rod bearing spin in my previous car (2000 celica gts) Not much fun. Were you running low on oil or something? It is essential that your new crank matches your new bearings, if not you will spin another right away. Good luck with the rebuild, how much is it gonna...

    wrong oil

And some people change their oil only after 10k miles, sure your engine might make it but in the long run you are probably doing damage. Like mama always say..better to be safe than sorry:D
