    03 cobra Upgrade pullie?

The 2.8 does not overspin the blower. You need a new belt and need to replace the stock 90 MM idlers with 100MM units. JDM has the best kit available. 732-780-0770 Tell them you want the setup on "Jim from Superchips" car... It kicks butt and no belt slip.

Anyone who tunes, wants to tune or is interested should read this

This is a statement made by Jerry From SCT (Superchips Custom Tuning) in another forum. It clears up a lot of misconceptions about tuning, commanded air/fuel ratio and the MAF. I've been preaching that commanding a richer air fuel to attain the correct air fuel is WRONG, and this helps explain...

    03 cobra clutch

Hell......I broke 400 with an air filter and a superchips program. The stock clutch is actually pretty strong. Lots of KB car out there with stock clutches and no issues. I still remember the days of the Jim Wolf clutches in 300zxTT's.....now THAT was a clutch! Still.....Ford put a...

How to lower a 03 Cobra?

I don't know what you guys used to drive, but the 03 Cobra feels soft to me. It sits too high and sways too much. Upgraded springs are a definite necessity....but that's just me...an old school import autocross guy. Also, regarding the Predator......I would use one if you gave it to me...

    How SAE correction works

I guess 4 letter words get replaced by "kiss me kiss me kissme?" LOL Can't we curse like men anymore?

    How SAE correction works

This was brought up in a prior post....here's how it works: Corrected wheel power is the measured wheel power corrected to "standard" atmospheric conditions. This is the power that the vehicle would put to the ground if tested under standard atmospheric conditions. This type of correction...

Thinking of trading in ws6 or 03..

I can't see how the F-body will give you more bang for the buck. They are cheaper to buy but expensive as hell to make sizable gains with......

Thinking of trading in ws6 or 03..

Like swee was saying...you can't run a whole lot of boost to that non-forged motor and expect it to hold up like ours. You can run 8 lbs or so (I see this regularly on Y bodies). There are some nice f-bodies, but they are a pain in the ass and were bonehead engineered for the most part. I...

Thinking of trading in ws6 or 03..

Trade the F-Body...buy an 03 Cobra. My friend just traded in his t/a for an 03 Cobra and he can't believe he ever drove that F-body now =o) It was fast, but the 03 is just more fun to modify and drive (and its faster =)

    Newbie (cobra anyway) Question

You would be pleased with my setup: Magnaflow catback. JDM/Kook long tube headers, h-pipe with high-flow cats. (going without cats isn't recommended.....it turns a nice loud sound into a really raspy, nasty loud sound, same with the x-pipe....sounds just plain crappy. get an h-pipe) There...

    6lb Lower Pulley

Almost forgot about your heat exchanger question: JDM makes a heat exchanger and so does Pauls High Performance. Jim D'Amore unit is a little bigger, but you do have to cut small notches in the back of the bumper. (not a big deal). It is silver (looks cool), but many paint it black so it...

    6lb Lower Pulley

Why don't you just buy them from JDM lke I did? I bought mine there. As for your Superflow/Mustang question..... A Mustang is also a "quality" dyno. I prefer the superflow because the data acquisition, plotting, etc....it a little nicer but both are respected dynos. A Dynojet still...

    Thanks "Vic"

That's a separate issue (and one that I've never seen). If your dash is lightning up, you may be having the stalling issue. If you stall on a roll..a simple shift or clutch movement wil start the car again and you may never know it actually stalled. This other problem is not a staling...

    Thanks "Vic"

BTW.....that hiccup on sudden decel, particularly in 2nd gear. (You know...when it lunges back and forth if you get into it and lift suddenly at 5,000 rpm in 2nd gear) It's a lot better now isn't it? I wonder why Ford never addressed that issue.....they all do it stock. Good way to stretch...

    Thanks "Vic"

It's hard to say what the "real" power loss is because we don't know what it really makes with the engine and accessories on an engine dyno. We know what Ford says, but when have they ever been accurate? We already know they can't tune =o) I'll get the dyno data sorted for you on Monday and...

    6lb Lower Pulley

11's I always tell everyone that my car is capable of high 11's, but the driver isn't! My best in the car was a 12.5@113 the same day as the videos were made, figures that run didn't make it onto tape. U.M. Meat: If you break the 11's with stock pullies and no spray, I will call you...

    6lb Lower Pulley

I ran a 11.9@119 with very little practice. We're talking about leaving the line at 1500-1700 RPM and just "driving" down the track. The car is capable of 11.60's or a little faster at 122-123 mph. Anyway....don't do a 2.8 upper with a 6 lb lower. I have a 2.8 uper by itself and may...
