What the hell is going on?? BackFires

Checked for vacuum leaks I couldn't find any. I know if I remove a plug on the vacuum tree the idle rises. By dist. going out you mean the pick-up? How do I change that? Thanks, Dante

What the hell is going on?? MisFires This is not mustang specific. Having some problems with my F-150 that are driving me batty. Last week the truck would die and restart when it cooled off. Figured it was the TFI and I would change it this past weekend. Then it started acting real funky...

    I am stumped??? Any advise

This is not 2.3 specific. Actually my F-150 is acting up. It is a 302 w/ AOD. Last week it started to stall and then be able to restart after it cooled down. Figured it was the TFI and when I got a chance I would change it or when it completed died. Then it started acting up on Friday...

    I need help

It may actually be cheaper for you to buy it in parts. Because I am sure shipping a whole engine to you will be expensive. If you look over Stinger's site it will have everything you need to have for the swap and how to do it.

    alternator problems??

If the Alt. is charging at 16-17 volts means the regulator is bad. It is probably boiling the battery off. Basically frying the bugger. Not too good. I would look into a new battery and watch the current. And like you said, the water getting in is probably not helping.

Well, my II has the Boss 429 scoop on it.

I had clearance issues on my 79 w/ a 460. Found a 14" by 3" with a 2" recessed base on e-bay cheap. Was the best fitting. I tried the bubblebee eye, but it was too tall. Wanted to grab the holley hi-tech but way too much money.

I have read that you need to change the whole thing. Also the SVO control arms are the same as some Lincoln control arms.

I was thinking this. Try and find the heavy duty stuff they use for EZ-Pass and FastLane. That stuff is serious.

    Exhaust Clamp Question??

The exhaust could be hitting the frame somewhere since you are missing the hanger. There are two hangers. One behind the muffler and under the bumper frame rail. You can buy the universal ones or go to www.50resto.com and buy OEM ones.

Bleeding nipple broke off today, little help maybe?

Hate to be a pessimist but from the sounds of it. Yeah the T-adapter won't break (brass), but you may end up stripping the fitting going into it. Try and use the hot wrench method to remove the fittings. Heat the suck up and then remove it. Flaring wrenchs will aid in the removal, but some...

The A/C car has the evaporator in the way, which you have to remove. I don't know if it is a different heater core.

Is this mustang a lost cause? I need input!! ASAP

Go to the tire shop and have them put some of their junk tires on the slashed ones so you can at least drive it around. Put it on ebay or craiglist.com and find out what you think is a fair price.
