    fuel filter would not cause fluctuation but a bad FPR would.. replace it!

    putting on new heads and FMS 1.6 RR- the stock stamped steel rockers have the fulcrum guide metal bar thingly that connects from the ped on the exhaust and intake sides- do I need to reuse these when installing rocker rollers??

    yea, but they are new assembled heads with valves already on- both intake and exhaust on all 8 cylinders are all the way against the underside of the head (IE closed)so when my original question is still - cant I just bolt down the rockers to the appropriate torque spec and be done? no need to...

    ok, the rubber vac line should be plugged when checking pressure not the metal nipple on top of the Fuel pressure regulator correct? this would be the "vacuum off" procedure right?

    I am putting on brand new GT40P heads and need to know if I would need, for any reason, to turn engine over by hand for any reason? I assume not since the valves on the head are arlready closed so installing the roller rockers will not require me to turn the engine over to move the valves...

    all cars run richer - ie more FP - when cold, then when the car is warmed up the computer leans it out slightly for emissions reasons and drivablilty.... what you state is what all cars do- there is nothing wrong about that- :rolleyes:

    Guys- the reason why the pressure drops is not because the FPR is faulty- it is because the computer is set at a predetermined Air to fuel ratio- so even if you set your pressure to 80PSI once the car starts and warms up the computer will lean down the injector pulse WAY DOWN to get the AFR back...

    the air pump into the Hpipe allows air to merge with the CO which causes a chemical reaction creating H2O and CO2- carbon dioxide and water are much less harmfull them carbon monoxide and that is the reason for the air tube going into the H pipe
