    Electric water pumps HP gain?

    Not much HP change, engine masters did a good episode on this and accessories robbing HP in general a few months ago. Big benefit IMO is being able to cool down much faster between runs at the strip as previously mentioned.

    Sure measure it if you like but is also important to keep in mind the context of it being a $500 car, so jumping to engine rebuilds instead of throwing some new gaskets at it and using it for the time being is a big jump to me.

    I've never got a car with stock gears so IDK TBH. I drove my Red 95 with 4.10s everywhere, didn't really care too much what the RPM was at on the freeway these cars get pretty crap mileage to begin with so not much of a concern when I was more worried about turning out good ETs.

    Cam swap, stock heads and bolt-ons isn't near stock these days? :D 3.73 or lower is pretty standard unless you have a blower/turbo. Stock the car probably came with 3.27 so going to a 3.55 is barely a noticeable change.

    I'd clean up and run it, the ridge looks to be above piston travel so not a huge deal. He is building a car for his son to drive around in not a drag racer so if it doesn't make peak performance from a little ring wear or whatever what does it really matter?     That is nothing compared to the endless threads back in the day of X or H pipe, 3.73 or 4.10 or Steeda Triax vs pro 5.0. Every 4 threads it felt like. My first car as a 95 v6 with red interior, I loved it.

    Other than the heatsink they looks to be a waste of $$$ to me. Just a few wires to extend it. I moved the TFI on my 94 to cleaner air just outside the grill opening, no heatsink but still helped I'm sure.
