Dyno time at VMP with BamaChip Doug

Some more good news from Doug. I had emailed him to let him know how well the car was running and he responded with "Great, I'm glad you are pleased with it. The number could be better in a higher airflow situation as in that building you really didn't have much cool air coming across the...

Shelby GT500 Twin 65mm tb kit

The TB spacer is there. I've not had the time to take it off and add it back on when I've had the car dyno'd. As far as the sotp measuring there was never any felt performance increase at all. Thanks, Dewman :nice:

Shelby GT500 Twin 65mm tb kit

Dan I checked them out and they have a "no tune needed and gains up to 15 hp' Price $599.00 but I can get it for 499.99 :D I also emailed BackDiamond and they reponded with a net gain of 8 rwhp/ 8 torque and a tune would probably be needed. $350.00 may be do able for the Ford GT500...

Has anyone installed this kit from RPM outlet (FMS-M- 6659-GT5) yet on there 2005 Mustang GT? Sadly, it looks like they're the only one out there selling a bolt on kit. Thanks, Dewman

Dyno time at VMP with BamaChip Doug

Justin is the owner and was busy with the FFW. Doug did the original tune, and he wasn't far off the mark. I asked Doug how many tunes he had done, and he has done over 5000+ that's some experience. BigCat has posted my dyno chart in the sticky area. :nice: Thanks, Dewman

Dyno time at VMP with BamaChip Doug

steedman07 I believe it was around 72 degrees and Doug was doing his custom tune. It feels like the numbers are higher. :nice:

Dyno time at VMP with BamaChip Doug

Doug was in town and I had him tune my Mustang. Best part he increased my gas mileage from 25 mpg at 70 mph to 26.3mpg at 70mph. :nice: :nice: The final SAE corrected numbers were 298.02 and 314.99 torque, not bad for 20" rims and tires. See my sig for the bolt on list. I have the...

07 gt with eibach springs and 20s

LawlessJay, I've got Ford "K" springs on my Mustang GT. They dropped it a solid 1.5" all way around. I've got Nitto 255/35/20 555R on American Muscle 8.5" DD Bullit rims and no rubbing what so ever. Here's nite time pic Thanks, Dewman

Ford K springs and 20" Bullitts

Love those K springs! I got them installed thursday night, and took the car up to Silver Springs for the 14th Annual Mustang Round up on Sat. We average 80 and up to 100 a few times. The handling was solid and not springy. We took a few big cures and it was nice. The over all ride quality...

Ford K springs and 20" Bullitts

K Springs Ok, finally ordered the Ford K springs for my GT. I have 20x8.5 rims However, I'm concerned about the ride quality, and also have heard about replacing the std upper strut mounts with the M18183a (GT500) mounts. Did any of you replace the springs only, and if you did how was the...

JBA equal length shortys test drive

Hi Guys, I had to go back to the muffler shop today to fix several leaks. Originally I had to see them to get the drivers side header to seal up to the Pypes O/R h-pipe which they fixed. Drove it on I-4 (see milage post) and then got home and found that the mid pipe where it connect in...

JBA equal length shortys test drive

These headers are nice (JBA part #1675S). They were a chore to install, but well worth it. I had a friend install them, and it was slow going to get them in. Now the test drive. I took a drive on I-4 and the air temp was about 85*. I kept the speedo at 68mph in 5th gear with cruise on. Ended...

    Equal Length Shorty Headers

kkdoughboy Thanks for the info! I'm not surprised, but if I get that increase or better and a deeper exhaust note then I'm a happy camper:nice: Dewman

    Equal Length Shorty Headers

jerstilly I agree most folks prefer the long tubes. You get more hp on the top of the rpm curve. However, you have to be willing to spend $700+ to get quality headers like Stainless Works or American Racing headers or JBA's. Also if your state does emissions testing the LT wont pass...

Strut Tower Bars - Are they worth it?

I went with the BMR strut tower brace (STB011) @ $179.95 I have lots of clearance see pic. This thing is real sturdy and is only ~ 5 lbs in weight. Thanks to everyone for their input. Dewman :nice:

    Fitch Fuel Catalyst

I saw this tested on HorsePower TV this past Sat. On the dyno they did a before and after runs. It added 2-3 hp & torque on the carb'd Chevy motor they tested on. Also increased the gas mileage. Also saw the article in the Sept. 5.0 Mustang & SFords. I did some searching and found some...

Strut Tower Bars - Are they worth it?

Thanks Bigcat for the info. That stb looks sweet. I'm also doing the begin with the end in mind. I'm looking for a STB that will clear a Magnuson or Ford supercharger so I wont waste money later on. I think BMR offers one that does that, but I'm not sure of the weight. Thanks again...

Strut Tower Bars - Are they worth it?

I had one on my 94 GT, but I also had full subframe connectors,UCA's, LCA's,lowering springs, and k-frame bar. So the sum of the whole made for great handling. On S197's I'm wondering if it's the same thing. Let's here some opinions if they are worth it. My over all goal is to have parts...
