New 2005 LLG GT with aFe CAI

Allcarfan Tell me more. I had searched and found a thread concerning the different TB spacers, and if I remember one of the Stangers had dyno'd it and found a 1-2 rwhp gain and 10lbs of trq. plus a 2-3 mpg increase? Of course this does sound to good to be true. :rlaugh: What do you...

New 2005 LLG GT with aFe CAI

Thanks for compliments guys ! Seattlegt - I don't believe that the aFe CAI requires a tune and there web site advertizes a 19 rwhp / 22 rwtrq for that model. I drove a std 05 GT about a week a go and it doesn't even come close to the way this one goes when you step on the do fast pedal. :D...

New 2005 LLG GT with aFe CAI

Scored a real good deal on LLG 2005 GT with 3200k in miles for $22,500. Dealer gave me $4000 trade in value for my 94GT with 100K + miles on it, but I had upgraded the tranny/engine/brakes etc. One the salesman was all over it and talking about buying it as I was leaving the dealership...

pictures - Cobra R's (36mm offset) on an 06 GT

I'm bad with metrics, the 10.5" I believe have a 27mm offset, and I think a 33-35mm offset would be the very least I could get by with. Yup, time to sell and start over. Thanks again ! Dewman

pictures - Cobra R's (36mm offset) on an 06 GT

Sweet looking rims !! :nice: I'm in the process of selling my 94 GT. Currently have FMS Cobra R's 17x9's on, and I love em. Also have 17x10.5" AFS rims with 285x40's that I'm keeping. Once I sell the 94 I'm planning on get a pair of 17x9 Cobra R's on the front with Nitto 255x45x17 and...

    255x45x17 and 285x40x17 on Cobra R rims - will they fit 05 GT ?

Yes, I believe it's 24mm. Btw, what is the backspacing for the 05 GT? Thanks again for the info. Dewman

    255x45x17 and 285x40x17 on Cobra R rims - will they fit 05 GT ?

Thanks Bigcat ! Perhaps that would not be bad on the rear, but the front is another issue. Would that be like a 1/8" or less ? That's about what they stick out now on the front on the 94GT. Thanks again ! Dewman

    255x45x17 and 285x40x17 on Cobra R rims - will they fit 05 GT ?

I'm in the process of selling my 94GT and I have a set of Cobra R 10.5" rims with Nitto 555 - 285x40x17's on them. I'm wanting to use them on the rear of the 05 GT and then put a pair of 17x9 Cobra R rims with Nitto 255x45x17's on them for the front. Also, planning to use the Eibach Pro...

    GT stock TB specs

Have you had a chance to get your GT dyno'd yet ? I would estimate you're real close to 300 rwhp with the mods listed in your signature. :nice:

    GT stock TB specs

OsirisGT - Thanks for the info. I see you have a JLT CAI, and a GMS twin 62mm TB. Did you have any problems with the canned tune with the larger 62mm TB ? Thanks, Dewman

    GT stock TB specs

Was wondering what the 2005 GT TB size is ? I'm in the process of selling my 94 GT 5.0 and looking at a used 05 GT Delux version coup. I've seen the Granatelli and BBK Twin 62mm TB's advertised and wondered how much bigger they are than the oem. Also, planning to get the C&L CAI with...

Installed Pro M 80mm Maf this evening

Wow, nice difference ! Took the C&L 76mm Maf and filter off and installed the Pro M 80 shorty back on the C&L inlet tube. Reconnected the battery, and it fired right up with no surging like the C&L. It runs strong and smooth, no doubt that it flows more air than the C&L. Now, just need to...

    Interested in a PMS

From reading the sticky's it looks like the PMS is a good thing to have for our 94-95 PCM's, especially for those that are Tweecer challenged. I was considering have a chip burned for my current mod's, but I want to upgrade to a CHP 347ci long block, which will definitly need a good tune to...

Need your opinion on a shortblock upgrade

Daniel Mainly, I'm looking at trying to upgrade the bottom end of my oem 302 block, and use the existing bolt on's as I listed out previously. In prep for a super charger. I don't think the oem bottom end would take the hp that the sc could make. Thus moving toward a CHP shortblock. I...

Need your opinion on a shortblock upgrade

My oem 302 block has 134K on it with 271/305 at the rear wheels. Over all goal is to freshen up / replace the lower block and add my current bolts on to it. Then add a Vortech SC later. I'm on tight budget. Current Upper bolt on's: Eldelbrock Performer Intake AFR 165mm heads FMS 1.7...

    I hate new Vette's

Just washed the car, and headed down the road to get some groceries at Publix's. A new silver Vette with passenger pulled in behind me. He rushed up to catch me. Traffic turned off, and I down shifted into 3rd and romped on it. The frustrating part was that he reeled me in quick and about...
