    Surprised by Baer Brakes People.

Well got everything installed and working. Just recently got the tank cleaned up enough to be presentable for pictures. The 13" rotors on the rear turned out great in my opinion, and the car will pop your eyeballs out in a panic stop. Hope this link works.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2299729/1

    Rough idle....stalling....not starting....

My 01 GT was having the exact same symptoms as you're having. Changed IAC valve and problems were gone. The hardest part about replacing that thing is handing the money to the parts guy. :nice:

buzzing sound from bellhousing when cold?

It's your throwout bearing making contact with your pressure plate. Nothing to worry about at all. If it starts making a grinding noise, or popping sound, it may need to be replaced.

    ABS light

Hey MP, I had the same problem you're talking about and it turned that something had come up off the road and hit and bent my left front ABS sensor. I just gently tapped it back into it's original position and the light went away. Also I was noticing a little noise coming from the abs...

    Surprised by Baer Brakes People.

Well I got the kit installed today. Pretty much a straight foward install for a person with reasonable mechanical skills. I did have to grind off about a 1/16 of an inch off the debris shield to have room for the caliper brackets. And getting the parking brake cable reattached required a little...

what brand/style cat-back should i get for the 01 GT?

Hey Stryker. I just installed an SLP catback with Loudmouth 2 mufflers. For the price and the ease of installation you can't go wrong. Not to mention if you don't like the mufflers, the clamps make a switch a piece of cake. And they sound great. I also noticed some power increase in the mid and...

    Surprised by Baer Brakes People.

Sweet. Those things look big even inside of the 18" wheels. Did you have any issues with the install?

    Surprised by Baer Brakes People.

Yeah, 13" rotors in the rear are a little overkill, but they will look great. And what the heck, if I get a little better performance then that's and added bonus. Recently the wife and I added Eibach springs, shocks, and struts. CC plates, SLP Loudmouth2 catback, Cobra front brakes, and subframe...

Oil question: How long in between oil changes

Just my 2 cents. I live in Florida and run Amsoil. Have been running 1 year oil changes for years with no problems at all. FIlter changes at 6 months. I love the stuff. Cuts down my jackstand time, and in the long run does save me money. I'm not trying to tell anybody what to do, so don't hose...

    Surprised by Baer Brakes People.

I've also heard of issues, but I think the main problem was with the crossdrilling with no ventilation between. I heard that it was causing noise. I'm hoping my rotors cut plain won't have that problem. I'll let you all know if they work out well.

    Surprised by Baer Brakes People.

Yes that's the one. I'm hoping the quality is up to the Baer reputation. I guess i'll see when they're on.

    Surprised by Baer Brakes People.

I called to see if Baer made a 13" non drilled, non slotted rear rotor kit for my 2001 GT. I didn't want said options because I went with the Cobra Front upgrade that had standard 13" rotors. Well to make a long story short, speaking to Bill Kopinger, he informed me that that even though they...

    new england auto show

It really is a shame how this is probably going to unfold. Ford has got a car here that could turn things around for their company bigtime, and they're going to allow SVT dealers to stick it in their a$$es. If they had any balls at all they'd issue a statement to dealers that there is a cap on...

    Speed/Power Shifting

Yeah, but it's an absolute blast!! :D

    Speed/Power Shifting

Ok grasshopper, listen up. Powershifting is something that takes practice and paitience to get good at, and know this. YOU CAN DESTROY A TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE DOING IT. The way that I was taught to do it, and still do it to this day is. As you are accelerating with the pedal to the floor, and...

    Gt350?

Replt to 300bhp What you said about the GT500 being a limited prduction is sadly, probably going to be true. And for a messed up reason too. The worthless stinking greedy assed dealers and their rediculous market adjustments. If Ford were smart they'd make all inquiries to SVT dealers and make...

Amsoil New MTF for Synchromesh Trans.

Wow. That is the first time I think i've ever heard anybody say that about Amsoil products. Care to back that up with some credible facts? Sounds to me like this guy is just trying to start a urinary olympics. Fact is there isn't anything on the market as good as Amsoil, with the exception of...

    AMSOIL Motor Oil Service Interval?

Just my experience.. Please don't beat on me gents. I am a Longtime Amsoil user, and I can say with concrete certainty that these guys make a product that does what it claims. I change at 1 yr intervals with 6 month filter changes and have had absolutely no problems as of yet. On two seperate...

What oil viscosity is everyone using? [If you've changed it yet, of course]

It's cool Crash.. I just think people should read more on such things. I also think it's wrong of Ford to threaten, and sometimes even follow through with denying people warranty work based on our topic. I run full synthetic oils in all my junk, so that it remains running junk for as long as...

What oil viscosity is everyone using? [If you've changed it yet, of course]

Crash.. I don't want to start a pissing contest here, but you are flat wrong on this. Ford went to a lighter weight oil on the recomendation of engineers at Ford to slightly increase fuel numbers across the board in their entire fleet. Bearing tolerances have not changed in Ford engines since...
