    Ok, help guys. The fuse link mentioned above, is that going to be in line with the combo black/orange 10 gauge and the green wire that come off of the alt to the selenoid?!? I don't want to cut heat shrink off of stuff searching for it...

    I did not check it. Is the selanoid seperate from the starter on these cars? I'm still new to this. Also, would this fuse being blown just hinder the voltage?

    Update, I don't know WTF is wrong. Pulled the alternator, tested it at local NAPA store. The guy said it was bad, shorted out so bad it wouldn't even run the test. The power lead plug outlet hole smelled like I had burned some insulation... Got replacement, which now come sans plug due...

    91 lx 5.0 auto Is there a voltage regulator on this car? The battery light is on, and the stock volt meter is sitting at 9 volts, no matter the revs. Alternator is good, what else could it be?

    Wouldn't 20 miles of driving with the headlights on kill the battery, or atleast drop it enough to make the voltage gauge dip from 9? I'll check the fuse link once I can see outside. The rest of the post is a bit overkill for troubleshooting...
