Red line Heavy ShockProof gear oil for the rear ?

GL-5 is 75w90 gear oil. I dont see why this wouldnt work in a rear end. Also, as mentioned already this is a pretty thick oil to put in a transmission IMO.

    getting a CEL

Looks like you have a typo on the number. If you REALLY have P0115, its a coolant temp sensor failure.

    Cobra calipers..what's needed?

Oh, before suggesting i buy the "kit", i sell auto parts and can buy everything seperate. However i dont have a crash book that lists a Cobra, so i cant check Ford part numbers on the calipers/brackets and match them to the GT.... if that makes sense.

    Cobra calipers..what's needed?

Im looking to do the Cobra caliper swap on my car. Aside from the actual caliper/pads/rotors, what's needed to complete the swap? Will the Cobra brackets mount to the car? Thanks.

Who uses premium gas in their 2v 4.6?

I run 93 octane in my car only because I'm still running my Steeda timing adjuster. The car had pinging at low rpm's with the 89, so ive been running 93 since the install. There is no advantage of going with 93 octane aside from spark timing changes, forced induction, etc.

    lowering

Agreed. I got the Sportlines, and was happy with how the car sat. Problem is, I had issues with going up certain inclines and potholes. Lots of parts rubbing that shouldn't.

goal for my 98gt (engine wise)

The guy is building an engine from scratch here. If he wants the extra cubes from a 5.4L (which is ALSO an OHC engine), let him do so. There are plenty of aftermarket cams, heads, and upper plenums to get rid of this "4000rpm" plateau you speak of. Telling a guy not to buy a 5.4 because its a...

    4.10s in and whining!

The 500 miles is for break in purposes. It will not resolve the spacing on the gears thats causing the whine. Just politely talk to the guy, take him for a ride and explain to him that the whine (fitment) isnt to your liking.

Where to buy a manually adjustable tensioner

A belt tensioner is spring loaded to apply pressure as the belt stretches. There is no such thing as a manually adjustabvle tensioner. Buy a longer belt.... just dont come into my store today buying 8 belts and returning 7 of them. :)

    do 2v heads tick too?

Ehhh. the ticking in the 2V's are the lifters upon cold start ups. Has to do with the oil making its way to the valvetrain. If you have a constant tick at operating temp, its possible that you have a plug issue as mentioned above, the coil is off the plug (which would make your car fall flat on...
