Best Shift Points for a 94 GT!!??

The Cobra's are a way diff story. Even with the smaller cam the heads and intake really allow those engines to pull higher. 58-5900 still seems pretty high. From what I've seen they should pull strong to 54-5500 which is still considerably higher than GT's do.

Best Shift Points for a 94 GT!!??

LOL For a stock 94/95 maybe but it sure didn't feel quick :rlaugh: The thing would only go 93 MPH!

Best Shift Points for a 94 GT!!??

I never reved my pig past 4600 and pulled the 3-4 shift at 4200. Doing so got me consistent 14.6's completely stock.

Who's running trickflow TW heads on their 331/347's?

At one time we had a 95 with a stock shortblock and stock TW heads that ran 12.1's @ 111 mph on DR's. I think it went 112 on one pass. Anyway, that car used a Holley intake, 75mm TB and BBK 1 5/8 longtubes with the same cam that I used in my 95 (I loaned it to him so I'm certain it's the...

    Power Steering Pump

You need to know where the leak is at first. Could just be a line leaking like Chris mentioned or it could be the pump. If it's the pump is it the front or back? The back has a rubber gasket that seals the tank which just snaps into place and could easily be leaking.

    Is this even possible?

Yes, they are very peaky and have a very abrupt spike in power when the boost comes in. Done right however that's not as big of a problem as it could be. Funny thing is that in 2003 I was out doing a little racing in my 95 and ran a single turbo Supra on 19" wheels! I was pretty scared of...

    Axle removal help!!

I have not seen any problems with the ABS after doing this. The sensor body doesn't stick out as far as the pickup does so you just need to clear the body and it should be enough to be able to get the C-clip out.

    Axle removal help!!

Don't bother taking it out if it's been in there for a while. They are pretty easy to break which is why some shops break them. Leave it where it's at and go grab a die grinder...then slightly grind the ABS ring until the sensor clears the ring when you push the axle in.

    Is this even possible?

Guys, These cars are not all dyno queens. You need to have everything on those cars working together in order to get good times out of them, just like mustangs. If you don’t have the right parts, or the right setup with those parts you just won’t go fast. I’ve seen plenty of people on...

    Heel/Toe Downshifting******

Yeah...I spaced the gas pedal a little bit and added a pedal cover only on the gas pedal that I offset a bit to move it closer to the brake pedal. Once that was done heel toe came easily.

How to get 10#'s of boost?

You should be able to make 10 psi with the stock pullies, the power pipe and your mods without too much issue. We were able to see 13-15 psi with an S-trim on a H/C/I 95GT once we added the power pipe.

    95Brakes--->99+Brakes

they just bolt right in place pretty much. I think you have to grind a small section of the bracket to clear the new caliper but it's no big deal. I'm not certain about brake lines however. I used the 94/95 SS Cobra lines from Russell and they bolted right up but I don't know if the stock...

    Good Street / Strip Springs?

Eibach drags won't make it ride like a truck. They are a decent compramise spring for a street car if you're not willing to go with the Moroso trick springs. The Trick springs will work better at the track and with the proper setup will ride just fine on the street but do certainly give up...

Anyone running a "Baby Crower" cam?

Generally the Crower 15510 is considered the "baby". Though the 511 is pretty small and does make good numbers with above average idle and drive caracteristics the "baby" cam is said to be a pretty cool little bugger.

    Official GT40P headed 300rwhp thread!!!

Actually I'm trying to get Tom to show off his car. The heads he has may be a step above what most unported P heads are, and I know he's about 20 RWHP shy of the goal but I think he's got an excellent idea of what it would take to make 300 with P heads.

Preliminary times for project "SLY return"

I'd try shifting that thing quite a bit lower and see what happens. I would shift at 46-4800 rpm with an all stock motor and see what happens. What gears does the car have? 2.73 or 3.08? If you have the 3.08's you'll need to shift a bit earlier out of third, say 4200, and it'll go faster.
