Well we went to the track on a stock 95 GT. I forgot what it was like to have a stock one. Well he made the first all mighty pass on her and ran a blistering [email protected] MPH After I threw a bag of ice on the intake and quickly removed the air silencer he ran again. [email protected].
Were getting better, So now its my turn, Get up to the line(remember its my first time in about 18months)Red light and pull off a [email protected] :nonono: . So I got one more shot and now its night air running through her and about 4 beers (millers :D ) [email protected].
So preliminary time for all to remember is 15.3 The underdrive pulleys are in the mail. And should be here next week. If there here monday I will be at the track tuesday. If not it will be a week or so. Anyone wanna take bets on the next time? :)

BTW they are MAC UD pulleys he bought. $73

What is the timing at? When I first went to the track with mine I brought a light and stock was going 15.2. After going to 14* I was at 14.9 (I had a K&N before the 15.2 run but I dont put much faith in them). I had 3.73 gears added and went 14.7-.6, Then I added the mac pullies and pulled out a 14.3 I am not a fan of mac stuff and the pullies look like ass, but damn those pullies made a diff. I think you will like them too.

Nice to see you back, are you getting a new one or just getting your fix from you bud?

I saw given equal weather you'll see a 14.9 at 92mph with JUST the pulleys. Bump the timing and you will probably be in the 14.8 at 93mph range.

WHat is your track elevation? What were you shifting at? 88mph seems about 3+mph slow for a stock car. Did you remove the spare or anything? How much gas was in it?

Ok I havent bumped timing at all. I didnt have a light at that time but I am getting one.
The pulleys should be here today. Im hoping to break into the 14's. Im shifting at around 5,500 If I remember thats a little above what the stock cam will make. I wasnt under the influence yet but am a little out of practice on racing. So nect week I should have some times with the pulleys.
BTW I had a 1/4 tank of gas. and all the regular goodies in the car. I want it like its going to be on the street as much as possible right now. Once I start moving her a little then we will do the weight reduction.
No everyone its not my car, Im trying to find me a 5.0 again though.

Pulleys dropped me from a 14.9 at 91.5 to a 14.6 at 94.89mph, so I think you will see 14's next time out, especially if you bump the timing and try to alter your shift point. I was shifting at 5250 with gears, pulleys, and exhaust, and 5500 when I added the performer intake.

Well The pulleys got here yesterday. So we are outting them on in the garage today. That is if it doesnt flood out down here. But My hopes are for atleast a 14 second run. He should also be buying a timing light today on the way home

I'd try shifting that thing quite a bit lower and see what happens. I would shift at 46-4800 rpm with an all stock motor and see what happens.

What gears does the car have? 2.73 or 3.08? If you have the 3.08's you'll need to shift a bit earlier out of third, say 4200, and it'll go faster.

Its got the 3.08's in it. We put the pulleys on yesterday. That was alot easier than i thought. While he was out we got a timing light and set it to 14* and put on a new belt. I took a ride on the wet road with him and it seemed a little faster.

I will try the shifting difference next tuesday If I make it. But the wife might put a hold on me. :notnice: Never the less he will go he's single!

Hey after for 4 beers you got you best time. Instead of increasing your timing you need to increasing the number of beers you have. J/K don't ever do that. And yeah is it a AODE?

Well that was just the standard for track night. It was my return to the races so I had to cellebrate. Just sucks now I have to drive an hour home afterwards.

I didn't know you were married... that's cool!

With pulleys I had to increase my shift rpm by about 200rpms to get the best times. Also, try running a shortbelt bypassing the powersteering and AC, its worth a tenth or so too. Just don't turn the steering wheel all the way or you'll have PS fluid all over your motor.

I say wife but I mean "Finance" or is it "Fiance'" I dunno.
Well it looks as though he will have to make the trip alone. I just found out I have to replace a clutch in my poor Honda. Shes slipping like you wouldnt believe.
