    Front Disc Brakes For 82

I have a 79 Capri, original 5.0 and it and my 82 have exactly the same size rotors. The 82 was originally a straight six car. I have an 83 parts car, and (have not measured it recently) but I think it has smaller front rotors and brakes. Just wanted to see what experience was. If they are...

    Front Disc Brakes For 82

Are 83 or 85 four cylinder front disk brakes any lighter than 79 or 82 V8 front brakes? I have 83 and 85 parts cars and could swap if there is a weight saving.

Fox Build Thread- Some Days I Should Of Let It Burn Down

Great thread. Reminds me of 15 years ago when I put the 82 together from a $50 body with a salvage title and a $450 255 2v Capri donor car.

    Cam Change

Thanks. For my entire life I have heard of people swapping cams in the car. So I tried it last year, and of all things, you have to remove the grille from my 66 Chevelle to swap the cam. Who knew!

    89 Mustang Turbo Conversion

Thanks. This got derailed because the 87 engine seems locked up, so I has to come out and be gone through before trying all this. Also discovered I have a spare 89 Mustang harness in a box in the garage. May move another project ahead of it. Probably the door swap on the 89 and the head swap...

2.3 Fan Trigger Switch In Block

What year Mustang. My 89 2.3 car has an electric fan. There is a temp sensor for the fan, the gage and the computer. The fan is powered via a separate module under the dash, in 89. Its called an IRCM iirc. I think later it moved under the hood. On the 89, when the module detects the...

Does The Ecu Learn To Fix Surging Idle

So my 2.3 l auto to stick conversion has run for several weeks. At first it had the surging idle. I cleaned the idle air valve. Since a few days later it seems to have quit stalling when letting of the gas and coming to a stop in neutral and coming to a stable idle. Is this the EEC...

    86 Fox 2.3 Lx

Step one is get a wiring diagram for your year. They vary by year a good bit. The headlights are protected by a circuit breaker. If it senses an overload, it trips or opens. When it cools down, it works again. Should be in the headlight switch, although I am not familiar with an 86. You...

Ring and pinion sets dont interchange!?

Have installed both Ford and Motive gears. The Fords set up with the same shims as the last one, check the pattern and adjust. The Motive I had to do a country boy check of the master pinion depth, guess/calculated a pinion shim and went from there. Took three press on and off trials to get...
