Pics of my car if you're interested...

I like it. I still think it's the best front apron I've seen. Cobra Automotive's new R apron is the closest thing so far. I'm not sure about the other pieces... but like I said... I like it.

    How much does it weigh?

While on the subject.... I wonder if anyone has itemized the weights of other components on our cars. I'd be curious to know how much I'm shaving when doing things. Like how much does the steel hood weigh? Front bumper... fold down rear seat, etc.... The lighter the better of course.....

    How much does it weigh?

Okay... I got off my butt and did some looking.... found out it's a big range. So I wrote down what looked to be about eight good estimates and averaged them out... the result was 3061lbs. I'm sure there are many more factors involved....

    How much does it weigh?

Yeah I know I'm being lazy by not searching.... but anyways. How much did the 1967 Fastback (289/C4) weigh straight off the factory floor? No guesses... :)

    Subframe connectors......its time,take the poll!!!!!

You might want to buy and install them at the same time. The X cage portion relies on the first stage portion for bolting in. You will likely have a hard time putting in the X cage down the road if you didn't have it in the first place to align the other two pieces to each other.

    Autocrossed again...

Hooked, yes... have been for about ten years now... I just have a hard time making time to get out there and do it. And since I sold the old autocross car, an 87' Notch, a few years back I just haven't had a car worth trying it in. Yes, there is a guy there who runs a race spec automatic...

    Autocrossed again...

Same thing... Mega fun!!! The car still has much to give. It's nothing like the 5.0 I used to run. But the attention it draws and the fact that I'm using the car the way it was meant to be used really draws alot of satisfaction. I'm not writing this to pound my chest... but to only...

    Subframe connectors......its time,take the poll!!!!!

I have the TCP "X" installed. Maybe because I like to AutoX?? Seriously though... just about any connection from the front to rear will help improve the car. I put sub connectors on my 87' and noticed it right away also. As far as whether the cross (X) section is needed... it's my opinion...

    Electric Fan Questions:

Okay... straight blade or curved..... puller or pusher?

    Electric Fan Questions:

One of the reasons I'm going electric is because my current fan is not shrouded. It scares me. I like the idea of leaning over my engine and not losing any digits. I don't feel like spending a hundred bucks on a shroud. Electrics look cool, you can toggle swith them, and they come with...

    Electric Fan Questions:

I'm interested in buying one. I have the Mustangs Plus catalog. They show the SPAL and the Flex-a-lite single and dual version. Any opinions on them or what you'd recommend? I'm not sure I like the big bulky mounting brackets of the single blade Flex. Is "thru core" mounting safe or a bad...

    Engine Swap

Hey gang.... I've been wishing and planning my future projects for a long time now. Everything has gone according to plan so far. The next project is the swap of the C4 to the 5speed. I just happened to be at a car show and purchased the 2004 Ford Racing catalog. Paging thru it I get...

    Timing Chain

A very good source of mine and I were discussing things to do to my engine to get a little more kick out of it. First know this. I do NOT want to spend alot on this engine because it's got 130k on the clock. It already has a couple of minor mods... carb, alum. intake and headers. I don't...

    Baers are on!!!.... Mostly... [pics]

I too am of the thought (for the moment) to keep them manual. I may change my mind as I bring up the horsepower numbers. I don't know. I autocrossed it and the brakes being manual never crossed my mind. But if I were flying into the corners faster... it may be better to have a booster. I'd...

    PhotoChop a Color?

Hey Dodge... close!!! But I was hoping to keep the car the same as before... white with the blue shelby stripes... but instead of the spokes white, have them blue. I can reattached the pic here hopefully... :)

    PhotoChop a Color?

Okay... it seems as though my idea of painting the spokes white is going over so well with the buds... or my wife for that matter. Could you guys change the white over to the blue of the stripes? Thanks. Painting the car white is still the plan... but after the Metallica concert Friday I...

The one thing you would have done different.

Well not to be a knob... but I've done everything correct so far.... :). And that's because I've used common sense along with reading other peoples mistakes. Three things: 1. You can't ask too many questions (no such thing as a dumb question) 2. Measure twice, cut once. 3. Research...

Who is the better driver and why ? Auto-cross or Drag racing

I don't have enough time to explain why road racing/autocrossing is harder. Many good points have been made already. Simply put though, the elements of the two are more like comparing apples to battleships. It's NOT a knock on the quarter milers. It's just the scope is SO different. I think...

    Autocross

Yeah, I'm already putting together my wish list. The manual tranny is at the top. But I'm just plain broke right now. I'd like to get a nice set of shocks too. I have no clue what's in there right now. A set of Koni's would be a great Xmas present. Those two items alone, on top of what I...
