    You were correct with MAS. However, it's more commonly known these days as the MAF meter. As a matter of fact, I think it's always been a MAF meter on 5.0 mustangs. GM used to call them Mass Air Sensors. Maybe they still do, I don't know :shrug:. Both of them fuction the same...incoming air...

    You said it already. If you're buying to replace the stock TB, then the difference in price is neglible. But if you're stepping up from a 65 to a 70 just to have a bigger TB, then you're just wasting hard earned $$$. In this case, his 65 was broke and needed to be replaced anyway.

    buy it and bolt it up to whatever 5-spd you've got now. it'll bolt up to a T-5, T-45, 3550, TKO or TKO 2.

    It gives you less rotating mass in the driveline which means more HP/TQ to the wheels. I'm not sure of its value in terms of how much HP/TQ, but it's not very much. I don't know what upgrades you've got, but on a stock stang, I don't think you'll feel the difference from an aluminum...

    If you have a 3550, you need the 'G'. If you have a TKO/TKO2, you need the 'J' same as the 96-98 Cobra. The only difference in the two of them is that 'J' has a higher spline count in the transmission yoke.
