    your mounting point for the lokar cable needs to be 1 1/8 inch, and directly below the throttle shaft. i set mine up with no corrector linkage, and it works fine.:shrug:

    replacing 65/66 coupe wheel wells

    since it looks like the rest of the wheel well is sound, your best bet MIGHT be to section the new one in. by that i mean to use only what you need. if that is not an option, you can cut the brace running up to the roof pillar, and put it back after the wheelhouse is in.

    Brand new gas tank.....

    when i checked this post out last night, my first thought was "no ground to the tank.." do this first: run a jumper wire from the sending unit, to a good ground. if you get a reading, you need to ground it. you dont need to remove the tank, just trade one of the self tappers holding the tank...

    good point! power = transformer= weight! CAS does the same thing claiming high power output, which is total bull. my jbl amps are older (early 90's) when the mfg. used rms, not peak to peak ratings for power. the big one is 75 watts per channel, and the small one is 50. add the total together...

    a pretty good substitute for spot weld drills are the brad point type drill bits...3/8 inch work well. you can save wear and tear on the pilot bit portion by first drilling with a small drill bit (1/8 inch or smaller)

    i think the restomod car cars will be around alot longer than the prostreet cars...mca never had a class for prostreet that i recall! my 65 is a restomod, in my eyes, and i wouldn't have it any other way. looks good, drives great, draws attention from the rodders and purist alike,and shows well...
