I purchased the Steeda one first, but it's a pice of junk. I am using an UPR 3-hook quadrant and it's excellent. Get the adjuster from UPR too (the steeda one sucks).
YOu can get a King Cobra for pretty cheap. I have a Centeforce DF and like it. I had a McLeod but it never wanted to fully release and killed my 3rd gear sycnro in my TR-3650.
There are two bolts on top of the bellhousing that need to be removed. You need a wobble socket and a long entension to get them out. You can lower the rear of the transmission to help you see them. The instructions miss them.
I have 140,000 miles on my mustang with Steeda pullies without a problem. I still have the stock battery, alternator, power steering pump, AC compressor. Never had a problem with the belt comming off.
I had a simular problem. One of my coil packs was bad. I bought one on ebay and swapped them out until I found the bad one. There is no way to check which one is bad.
I have a feeling the McLeod clutch killed my transmission because it did not release fully between gears. It never wanted to go into 1st easily when it warmed up. My 3rd gear syncho went in my TR-3650. It starting grinding out of the blue.

I wasted $400 because the same guy (doggy69) sold me a bad TR-3650. His real name is Paul and lives in Brick NJ. The tr-3650 It would not stay in 2nd. I contacted other people who bough a TR-3650 and most responded that he sold them a bad tranny. He did give me a refund for the transmission...
