    Focus Fuel Pump on a Stock Engine?

    I'm using a SVT focus fuel pump because the stock one broke. Works fine without any issues. I data logged using xcal2 and the pressure is exaclty the same as the stock pump (when it worked).

    If you have some technical skills, take out the radio and remove the front face on the radio. Clean the rubber roller that pulls in/pushes out the CD with rubbing alcahol. Your radio should work untill it gets all gummed up again.

    My McLeod clutch kit from Maximum did not come with any TOB. I had to but it separately. I did not want a ford one so I'm trying out the centerforce.

    Battery/electrical help.

    Once your car gets started you can run it directly off the alternator without a battery. If that don't work, your alternator is bad. Sounds like the problem is the voltage regulator, but that's built into the alternator.

    Maximum Motorosport sells the stock OEM TOB. I called and verified. I'm using a centerforce TOB from Summit but it's too early to tell if it's good (Only got 1K miles on it). I hear the Timken TOB's are good but Autozone don't sell them anymore. If you can find it, use a Timken.

    If you drive in weather below 50 deg. F, don't even look at the Kumho Supra 712's. I just picked up KWD-2's as replacements.

    My pivot ball was worn out pretty bad when I changed my clutch. This might be your problem.

    I changed mine at 102K miles and it was still nice and red. Change it with every clutch change.

    detonation sounds like your valves are making noise. My mail order tune had the air/fuel mixture at 12.8:1. I leaned it out 2% and got 13:1. I could increase 2 deg of timing (Max my tune would give me) without a problem too.

    To start loading your tune, start with the key in the OFF position and turn it to ON when the XCal tell you to.

    HARD CLUTCH!!!

    The shaft that the throw out bearing rides on is probably dirty. The missing cover is not helping. Even with the cover on, it's gets all gunked up.

    Be sure you have a magnetic stick handy. I dropped the socket in the tank while I was putting in a SVT pump.
