    March/November wedding 60's tribute

I like it, but i think it would look better with a slightly smaller scoop. It looks way better than that GB mustang body kit that was out a while back

looks good so far, are you going to do anything with the front?

I Hope I'm Not The Dumbest Klutz in the U.S.

did you take the filler tube off to help with the fishing around? I'd try that, and if you can't get it out probably drain the tank and try to get it out from the sending unit hole. If that fails, remove the tank and use gravity to help you get it out.

    fuel efficient 289?

If you want much more than 20-25 mpg, than a 45 year old carburated pushrod v-8 pushing a car with the aerodynamics of a slightly chiseled brick down the road probably isn't the best place to start. what are you getting now? like everyone else said, just make sure it's tuned right and you...

    Terrible shaking / T-5

your axle might be rotating up under acceleration causing a u-joint to bind. In second you wouldn't have as much torque to the wheels so it wouldn't rotate as much. What leafs are you using?

How to Pick a Modern Suspension?

If it were me, i would switch the rear end out for an 8" and swap the front spindles out for v8 ones to get the 5 lug. the early 4 lug pattern is NOT the same as the newer 4 lug stuff, so finding cool 4 lug wheels may be a problem. the added strength benefits are a bonus, but probably not...

    65 Mustang Rearend Upgrade

also, all explorer rear ends are 31 spline, and some have trac loc differentials. I know some were 4.10, and i think others were in the 3.5 range. It may pay to look around a little while to get a trac loc one with the gear ratio you want, however the 4.10 ones will be hard to find since the...

    65 Mustang Rearend Upgrade

the explorer rear end is 59-5/8" wide and the '65-'66 rear end is 57-1/4" wide. the wheels you will want will be '04 and older with the 5 on 4.5" pattern. I don't know about the spring perches, but those are easy enough to change.

    high torque and t5z

Sounds like the way to go then. do you think it would be better to buy a new one or convert a wc t5 with a z spec gear set ($370)?

    high torque and t5z

I know quite a few of you are running WC T5s and T5zs with powerful engines. Has anyone had problems with them in a street setting? So far I have a 302 with the trick flow top end kit (except a different intake). Trick flow has their setup rated at 350 ft lbs of torque. With that much...

    Resto-mod Order

even if you keep the I6, I would upgrade the rear axle from the 7.5 to an 8" model for the 5 lug axles, and also upgrade the front spindles to the stronger V-8 ones. This will give you a better wheel selection, stronger parts, and better selection of disc brake kits.

    1966 to 2011 Conversion

you don't have to buy it from ford, I'm sure someone's wrecked a 2011 gt by now. for the lighting you could put fog lights where the turn signals usually go (would need to be modified), then use the newer 7" headlights with the integrated signals. I think it was the sn65 project that had the...

    1966 to 2011 Conversion

horrible horrible idea. Do the interior however you want, but the point of driving a classic is for the classic looks, otherwise you might as well just buy a new mustang. if you want something 2011 you could swap in the new 5.0 with MII front suspension. won't be cheap though.

    Posi Rear End

There is a special additive you put in the gear oil, without it, the clutches will slip and chatter. You can get it at pretty much any parts store, there are a bunch of different brands, just ask for limited slip gear oil additive.

it probably just needs to have a new clutch pack and springs installed.

I haven't seen it done, but my imagination is telling me I wouldn't like it. I'm on the fence when it comes to the trunk lids with the built in spoiler.
