For those with a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter..

What size is the thread on the shifter? 3/8" or 7/16"??? I'm ordering a shifter and a shift knob but the knobs are in two different thread sizes and it doesn't list what the shifter thread size is. I'm assuming 3/8"?? Thanks, -Tim

    Stupid battery tray....wtf?

I'm currently rewiring my 67 fastback wiring harnesses and I've run the main engine harness all the way through and now it's to the point where it needs to go under the battery tray. I also am replacing the old tray with a new one I bought from NPD.... BUT -- I unbolted the top two bolts on the...

    Can't find these simple screws...

I need the 9 screws that hold the 67 guage cluster to the cluster bezel. The previous owner never put them back in and the damn thing hangs out now. I've searched and searched for places with a kit of screws for it but to no avail. The last place I just checked was amkproducts.com and I...

Hey guys, My 67 Fastback came with a 3-speed manual transmission. I recently purchased a WIDE ratio 4-speed toploader with 28-spline on it. Perfect for my little 289 ($414 shipped). My questions is this: What will I need to do the swap??? Will my 3-spd bellhousing work with the...

Hey all, Decided to put my Lecarra wheel on today because it's finally nice outside in New Hampshire. --Ran into a problem-- The wheel goes on the steering column but it stops short of fitting. The black neck adapter is about 1/2 inch away from the beginning of the steering column neck. I...

    Thanks to Eleanor...

My girl cost me $13,500 and I had to ship it from Arizona to New Hampshire for $1,200.... not what I'd consider a "steal" but definately a "deal" for what I got. 2nd owner, no rust, great condition. We'll see where this goes.... I AM into the eleanor look but right now I'm more focused on...

    -=How much to machine a block???=-

See that's one thing that still confuses me. The compression ratio. If it goes above 10:1 I have to use race fuel? That blows because there aren't any places nearby that have it. Also, what defines the actual compression ratio? I went to that Golen Engine Services site and they have a 408W...

    -=How much to machine a block???=-

Candy-A-Mach1 and KingMidas, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help! I was researching Golen's site and I noticed that their 408W requires Race Fuel.... Is it even possible to build a 408W without it requiring race fuel?? I want to have a street beast that can still get gas at a GAS STATION...

What engine 351W or big block 390

Another reason I'd vote for the 351W (not only cuz I'm doing a 408W) but because if you get the big block you've got to worry about suspension upgrades, etc. Unless your car already was a BB car. So the price of the BB, then all of the mandatory upgrades... ESPECIALLY BRAKES for that big...

    Backup Light Wiring Help...

Yeah and good luck trying to ever find a replacement backup light switch for your 3-speed. They don't make them anymore and they also don't remake them. They only remake the 4 speed ones, and that is not compatible. I've got the same problem you have but my PO just cut the wiring at the...

    -=How much to machine a block???=-

Great! thanks for the help DodgeStang! I won't need them to rebuild the shortblock or even disassemble my engine so now I know I shouldn't expect a $1,000 tab to bore it and clearance it. Either way I'll call around but I just wanted to have a clue as to whether or not I was gonna get slammed...

    -=How much to machine a block???=-

That's nice and all SD, but I was looking for an answer from someone who has already paid to have it done to their engine. be it a 289, etc... just to get an idea as to if it's like $200... $800... $1,500... -Tim

    -=How much to machine a block???=-

How much would it cost to take a bare-bones 351W block to a machine shop and have them bore it .030 over and clearance it for a 4.000" stroker crank, along with the typical "dip it and clean it" and "surface it" routine I suppose they need to do...??? I'm trying to balance the budget for my...
