    I have heard something about if you have a carb the dumps to much fuel (runs rich) that it can "wash the rings out" of a motor.. I dont exactly know what the phrase "wash the rings out" means exactly, But I guess it would make them not seal as well. I asked this in here since you guys deal with...

    Not enough information.. all you said was 92 5.0.. Is it a hatch, coupe, vert, (gt or lx). lx coupe with those mods might beat you, gt vert probably will get beat.

    I want to know how you dont have any valve clearance issues, since you are using a stock short block. 2.02 intake valves a .552 lift cam and 1.7 RR's thats almost .600 lift..

    The 93 205 rating, was a combination of both the change in the hp rating by ford AND the cam, m.a.f, computer changes, and exhaust revisons throughout 89-92.     I dont see how the 1d1 shuffle would even be hard on the tranny anyway? How is it any harder on your tanny than just trying to manually shift it? After you shift 1-D and then stick it back into 1 it still stays in 2nd gear, So what is it hurting?

    Thanks, But, I though going from a 97mph to a 99mph trap was only about 20 hp or so. I was told about 10 hp for every 1 mph (round about). The Et. was from it getting a little better 60ft I think.. BTW.. Im just right across the Clark bridge from you by Alton, IL...
