    Just got back from T&J

    I am heading down with my GT for a tune this Friday/Saturday. I currently have a clean record. Maybe I can be the one to get to T&J, tuned and home to N.C. with no "altercations"? Hhmmm....... :shrug: How fast are those helicopter police anyhow....

    98 GT Auto squeels like a scalded ape!!!

    For what it is worth. I too had a nasty squeel once. It was the a/c compressor bearing disintigrated. I was under warranty at the time. I suggest looking at all the other pully bearings to make sure they didn't fail.

    I have a supercharged 98Gt and pull about 20psi vacuuum. Maybe check your hoses?

    Colder temp. air = more boost??

    Does the 100 octane help you in the colder months? Did you have a tune done and still have the 4th gear ping?

    Any other super charged folks make more boost in colder weather? I have a 6# pulley and here lately in 38* or 40* ish weather I can get up to 9# of boost at WOT. This would be great if I had the tune, but I get spark knock. I will be at T&J performance in Feb for a tune. Should I be looking into...

    $2200-2500 for intake (supercharger) $900-1000 for install kit coolant, gaskets, broken misc. This is not a $2000 "kit", price them out at Downs Ford in New Jersey, best price I found. Oh, yeah shipping. Labor etc.....

    Yes, it is possible to up the boost. Magnuson is the manufacturer for Ford. Other size pullies are avail for more boost.

    No it is not tuned. Just the Ford processor that came with the install kit. The program is from Ford direct. I do think the air/fuel seems a little eractic. Should I go for a custom tune or a chip to get it in the 12.5 range?
