    I would go with a muffler. I know when the pipe between the 2nd cat and muffler split in my car I went deaf driving home. Not literally - but It wasn't enjoyable...and if you like to listen to music it would have to be so loud you would end up deaf anyways. I never heard it from the outside...

    Ok - I've had two people come over and try to muscle the thing out with no luck. I went and bought a budget air impact wrench at walmart. Spent quite some time beating the **** out of it with that and it still won't come loose. No room for a cheater bar. Anyone have some tricks?

    Jack it up good and they are easy to get to. The top one is being a bitch for me. Its in there incredibly tight. You can get to it from the top or bottom.

    I'm under the impression the T5 does not require a different driveshaft. You will have to find and install the pedals if you go that route though.

    I finally had a chance to mess with it again. I can't get the bolt to loosen. I guess I will see if I can get an extension long enough for a breaker bar to clear. Haynes says there are four bolts but I'm assuming theres actually three? That makes more sense.

    A few updates...Nothing to exciting!!

    My original black dash didn't stay black. I had an air freshener that was supposed to be car friendly but it fell over and the oil leaked onto my dash. Cleaned it up 2 minutes later and there went the paint. Big grey blotches now :(

    Nice Car :nice: I would love to have a hatchback. (have the basic coupe) I don't complain about gas prices anymore. Whether they are $2 or $3 you still have to pay them just the same if you want to get around :p
