Hows this setup gonna do at the track??

I think you need a little more hp yet. I think a set of longtubes and an intake with some drag radials would get you close to the low 13s you are looking for.

Hows this setup gonna do at the track??

I doubt you will see low 13's. Maybe mid to high 13's. You just don't have enough hp yet. If you put slicks on it you could run low 13's. Otherwise I just don't think you are there yet. Longtubes and an intake would probably do it with some good driving with a drag radial.

TFS stage 2 : too much cam?

That's a bad idea for a street car. Especially a 306. The stage 3 is overkill for sure on a street car. Its a 236/242 duration on a 110 lsa. It drives like ****. The computer can't deal with that tight of a lsa. I had one in my 94 cobra before I swapped it for the stage 2. Even with a...

    Any guess on how fast?

I think it will last a few rounds. You never know. It might take a dump the first time I bang 3rd with the gas on. Thats why i'm trailering it to FFW.

    Any guess on how fast?

I was looking for about 340-360 at the tires. I think anymore than that is a stretch. Bennett said 10.60 on the gas 11.60 on the motor shifting around 6600. We will see. I personally don't think it will go that fast. I'm looking for 12.20 on the motor and maybe 11.00- 10.90 on the gas...

    Any guess on how fast?

I'm putting together a motor for my coupe, trying to get ready for FFW in atlanta. Anyone want to take a guess as to how fast it will go. Here's the combo: 93 coupe 3250 lbs w/ me DSS 306 TW stage 2 porting flowing 300 cfm at .600 lift/ 244 on ex. Trick flow track heat intake/ port...

TFS stage 2 : too much cam?

Do you have a stock short block? If so you will have piston to valve clearance problems. You will have to fly-cut the pistons or use a smaller cam. sorry, just looked at your sig. Depending on what pistons you have you should be fine. The stage 2 is a good cam. I it in my 94 cobra and it...

    trick flow or edelbrock

Stick with the trick flows they are a better head. Better flow #'s and better potential. edlebrocks are good, just not as good. the TW out flow them by 30 cfm at .500 lift out of the box.

    Please school me on exhaust

Longtubes on 5.0 cars are not nearly as critical as on 4.6 car. When i say that i mean you don't have to buy really expensive longtubes to get a good fit. The mac longtubes are not bad and they go for around 220-230. I personally like the bbk longtubes and you can get them from summit for...

    Upswept tailpipes on Dynomax?

just an opinion, but i always liked the upswept look. I think the dynomax kits are designed to be upsewpt some. Personally the tailpipes look stupid when they are 2-3 inches below the bumper and straight out.

Mexican Block Gurus come on in...

I think you are off a little on the e-303 being on a 110 lsa. It would never be an "emmissions friendly cam" at that. its probably a 112 or 114. plus it would lope alot harder if it were a 110 and a e-cam has hardly any noticable lope.

    Engine Vibration

Just wanted to get some imput. My stock 5.0 is vibrating pretty badly around 4k rpm. I don't think its the balancer as the vibration really doesn't get bad until 4k and seems to get better after or at least doesn't get worse. It feels like a bearing vibration, i.e. too much clearance, but the...

    347 cams whats everyone using???

Its something like 224/232 .544/562 I think its on a 112 lsa. I had one in a 94 cobra 306 FI car after having the TFS III first. The TFS II ran like a champ after custom tuning.

anyone use the tfs stage lll cam?

Tfs Iii It will run good with your combo. Its too much with a fuel injected car unless you have a dfi setup. I had one in my 94 cobra. I had a 306 w/ tfs track heat heads ported, polished, and shaved to 54cc along w/ the trick flow pistons making near 11 to 1 comp and it still idled and...
