    Nitto NT05 Review

Thanks for the review; those look awesome, I think better than the F1s.

35th Anniv post your pics 99 GT " LIMITED EDITION"

Tommy, this marks year 6ish of my jealous of your car. Awesome ride man. My car is sitting in a garage for the next two years until I'm finally done with school; loathe the north east.

thinking about nitrous. should I do it??

Get a wot switch, and a push button. And get a window switch; hit the rev limiter once and you're out a lot more than the cost of the switch. Also, see if you can find a used remote bottle opener. Makes nitrous more fun, and more practical to use. The first time I flipped the switch I...

35th Anniv just bought an LE, what do you think?

Wow, that's awesome man. Really nice find. Just to be careful, I'd take it to a dyno and check the air/fuel. I'm sure it's fine, but it's ~$60 that could save you thousands if it wasn't tuned properly. Have fun with the car, hopefully winter sets in a little late.

New to me 2002 Gt Auto with some issues

The bucking is a pretty common thing; I don't think I ever heard of a way to really get rid of it. For the erratic driving, check the IAC; it might need some carb cleaner. Mine became really dirty and would stick. That would cause surging from idle issues and rpm jumps when I'd go from D to...

35th Anniv Look what I found!

Wow. I haven't thought about that site in a while. There was once a pretty active forum over there. Sad that it's all gone. Sad too that David disappeared without word. Thanks for keeping up the work Jason! (I wonder how many questions you've answered with V6 owners asking for what number...

    4670W to 5R555 Swap?

How would you control the 5R with EEC V? I think that might be the biggest problem. Has anyone actually tuned a 5R to run on our cpu's?

    35th Anniv just bought a 35th

Wow, that's amazing. Pretty much a new, 9 year old car. Do you plan on driving it much? PS- Have subframes installed. I put mine on at 50k, but the car already developed alot of rattles by that time.

    35th Anniv Shift kit??

The easiest thing to do (any probably the safest) is to just get a handheld tuner. I had a TransGo shift kit installed about 50k miles ago and have had zero problems, but there are alot of anecdotes about TransGo's going South. If you think you really want one, just get a stock valve-body that...

    Would you be interested?

I feel your pain. Had Torts II tonight. K II Friday. My car literally looks like a beater; haven't washed it in over a month. Cannot wait this summer and unpaid internships... I might get new tint on Sallie Mae's dime.

Wow, that does look really good. I think almost like it better than the Honeycomb. I also really need bumper inserts.

35th Anniv the 35th back from the body shop

Looks great. Did they paint the hood stripe on? And I usually like bumper inserts, but those look a little too filled in. No clue why. Definitely jealous though; my paint is fine, but little chips on the front are starting to add up.

    35th Anniv Advice

One thing to think about is which one your local tuner prefers. In the future if you get more done and need a custom tune, it would be easier/cheaper to already have whichever brand he uses. (should have mentioned this in the first post; didn't think about it, sorry) Goodluck with it. :flag:

    35th Anniv Advice

I'm not sure about the newest SCT tuner, but the older SCT model and the Predator are essentially the same. Really 6 of one. Depending on your mods, you might not need either though. If the car is basically stock, you might be better off spending it somewhere else.

    Summer Tire

I run 255/45s. I like the added sidewall and curb protection.

Jacking up all 4 wheels at once safe?

Even with 4 jackstands, always have a jack putting pressure on the car if you are under it. No such thing as overkill when you are sitting underneath a 3500lb object.

    nitrous idea

What I did with mine is I use a 100 pill for the nitrous and a 60 pill for the fuel. Then I just richened up the a/f with the TwEECer. Same idea, just different method. If you don't have a way to add fuel to the car (programmer, chip, etc) then your way would likely work. I am pretty sure...

    NITROUS GUYS come in!!!

FYI- progressive controllers have been known to destroy solenoids in no time. You could just run a 2-stage set-up, but the problem isn't the initial hit so much as it is the amount of fuel you'd have running through your intake. (assuming you have a standard nozzle kit) Goodluck with it. I...
