right now i am running a nx wet kit, 100 shot. i feel pretty confident on a good tune that the engine can handle a 150 shot, but i know a 150 wet shot is very risky through the stock intake do to all the fuel flowing threw it. now if im not mistaken (which i could be, this is the part im not sure about ) a dry kit sprays before the mass air meter so that it can read the oxygen and increase fuel through the injectors to compensate correct? so if i were to run say a 100wet, and then a 50 dry at the same time, i would end up with a 150 shot without the risk of fuel puddling in the intake. does this theory make sense to anyone else. i dont think it would be hard at all to run another line to a dry nozzle placed infront of my maf, and fairly inexpensive. seems like a nice alternative to the risk of a backfire. any thoughts? anyone doing something similar?
 
yea i am not sure of this either. but if it were true you would probably need to upgrade the injectors or at least the fuel pump. thats a lot of extra fuel to put through the motor. I have run my 150 shot a few times and it was just fine. You just have to becareful on what rpm ur spraying at
 
why would a 150 shot setup like this cause me to use any more fuel than a 150 wet. that doesnt make sense at all. i dont think i would need to upgrade the pump or injectors for just a 50 shot. stockers should be able to handle that just fine. anyone else go any idea's?
 
What I did with mine is I use a 100 pill for the nitrous and a 60 pill for the fuel. Then I just richened up the a/f with the TwEECer.

Same idea, just different method. If you don't have a way to add fuel to the car (programmer, chip, etc) then your way would likely work. I am pretty sure alot of 03 Cobra guys spray a 50 shot before the MAF and it doesn't have trouble compensating.

Either way, just make sure you have enough fuel pump and the a/f stays rich.

You are decreasing the chance of fuel puddle, but increasing the chance of engine failure/complications. I say you spray 125 wet and call it a day. 150 is too much stress on the motor.

even on a 150 wet it is a very smart idea to upgrade the fuel pump. You could possibly drop in fuel pressure in the upper rpms and blow up. anything over a 100 shot your window for error gets smaller and smaller. the more you want to spray the better the chances of blowing up. a 100 shot can be run slightly on the lean side and you could be fine. try that with a 150 shot and ur probably going to blow. I ran my 150 a few times and it was fine but before i run it all the time i am going to upgrade my fuel pump.

If you are supercharged and adding 150 extra horses under the hood ur not going to want to run your stock injectors and fuel pump are you.
 
i think the stock pump would be fine but adding 150hp with a s/c would require the injectors to provide all the fuel so obviously u would need them, however with a wet kit the jetting would provide most of the extra fuel and the injectors would only need to supply 50hp worth of fuel. i could be wrong about the fuel pump. upgrading to a focus pump is cheap though and i could easily do that and be good to go. i think the injectors would be fine. i also already have a walbro 255 i could install if i wanted to convert to return style which i have been thinking about doing anyway.

I might give this method here a go once i get my wideband and datalog a good bit. Seems like that would work pretty well cause i dont want to drill a hole in my intake to run a dry shot.
 
yea i could see how that would work out. i think i might run the 125 nitrous pill and 75 fuel, then tune the extra fuel into the nitrous tune at wot. that might be a good alternative, and be extra safe.
 
you guys should go with a focus fuel pump , and 52 nitrous and 34 fuel jet for starters .....and then use a wideband to dial it in from there , use the jets to adjust first and then fine tune with the software ....
 
yea im trying to decide if i want to go focus pump or convert to return style and use the walbro 255 that i have. and then im going to buy a wide band before i start trying to tune with nitrous. but what we are trying to do is get away with running a big shot of nitrous but without the risk of fuel puddle. the stock engine should be able to handle atleast a 125 shot, maybe a 150, but there is a huge risk of fuel puddle with a 150 and even a small one with a 125. i think ill run a 125 nitrous pill and either the 100 shot fuel pill or the 75, and adjust the a/f really rich with the wideband to make it so when i spray its perfect.

focus pump is all you need and its a direct replacement ....
 
yea i know the focus pump is an easy and direct swap, and cheap as well. but then on the other hand, i like the simplicity of the return style system, and i think that when i build the 5.0 stroker shortblock and boost it in a few years, i will be better off with a returnstyle fuel system. so im basically trying to decide if i want to convert now or convert later. i know the returnless style could still get the job done, i just dont trust it as much.
