    ? about t5 tranny/drive shaft and fluids

If you have a t5-z or a t5 with the carbon fiber blocker rings ( i think they were in 92-93 5.0s), you are NOT supposed to use synthetic..... http://www.carbdford.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1332&highlight=t5+atf+fluid don't shoot the messenger..... :)

webers, vic jr, 4bbl carb? engine possibilities...HELP ME OUT

I'm pretty sure 408 is as far as you can go with a stock 351W block. 393 would be cheaper. I think the 427W requires an aftermarket block since a lot of clearancing is needed. No, I haven't done all my homework on that, but that is what I have heard. If this car is a cruiser, why is a...

    Distributor Questions

I say check the timing first, like D.Hearne said, since it's free. I don't think i'd run a 195 degree t-stat on the street though. 180 would be more appropriate. Is this a duraspark distributor, or a points dizzy with a pertronix kit? I think "dizzy" is just fine. As for the centrifugal...

Tell me what you think about this idea...

I had a 92 F150 with a 351W. The tranny (Truck AOD-- whatever the model is) went out on the previous owner, who replaced it with a new ford unit. It once spit all the tranny fluid out of it when it was hot. motor was great-- i really liked the truck, but the tranny sucked. IMHO the 92-96(?)...

    installing subframes ?

remove the paint near where they will be welded. Welding requires cleanliness, and the paint near it is gonna burn and flake anyway. When done, touch it up with spray paint.

    Bigblock + boost??

http://www.undrprsr.com/fairmont/ that guy has a TT EFI 460 in a fairmont. I think the 460 is beefier than a stock 5.4. not sure how stock internals do with boost on a 5.4. I know the cobra 4.6 has forged internals, but the others aren't. Good luck out your project-- sounds cool.

    Cost Engine Rebuild?

I'm not sure what motor you're referring to, but 40 over is marginal. I have heard some 289s have overheatng problems when taken that far. Considering the motor already has a cracked head, maybe you ought to get a a different motor to start with. Unless it's some rare motor. just MHO.

    Getting rid of rattles?

I don't think that you want the Weld-in subframes from CE. you have to relocate the rear spring perch. You want the bolt in one, and then weld them in. http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=forum&Number=891193&PHPSESSID=&fpart=1#Post891193 Edit: for sound...

    302 vs 5.0 ?!?!? HELP!!

They make adapters to use te zbar on a late model block-- thats what I have in my car. If you get a stroker kit, maybe get one that is 28oz imbalance. If your current clutch is only a 10", i'm not sure how well it will do with a 347... If you have a 157tooth flywheel currently, it would be...

    Pertronix + MSD??

they make adapters for the larger, better cap and rotor for the early distributors. I have a 68 distributor with a pertronix and the late model cap and rotor. this spacer piece clamps to the dist. like a cap does, and then the new cap clamps to the spacer. Dunno where you buy them though...

    Front Brake Swap

I'm pretty sure you use the '68 tie rod ends, but they might be the same as a 66 (for v8 cars). You need to get a dual reservoir master cylinder for a disc/drum car. I think the 68 mustang master would work best, but maybe someone else will know for sure.

Motorcraft FL1A. it's just a Purolator filter that is white and says ford on it. I think it's cheaper than the Purolator branded one.
