    Well 4.10's would definately explain why my gas mileage sucks! Even if it could be fixed with a tuner, I'd like to know whats in it. But aside from the speedo, a tuner will work on a 97 right? I was thinking of one in the future. (lots of other stuff to do first!)

    Yea its a 5 speed. No other mods that I'm aware of. But I've only had it about 3 days. I'm about to put on a new tensioner pulley to replace the squeakin one I got. Bought it from here... Spencer Performance Inc.

    What will the 1 turn ratio be? If I turn the rear wheels 4 times then should the D/S turn 10 times for 4.10's? Or is that not how it works? Forgive my ignorance here...:shrug: If it's the case that I DO have gears, is there a way to correct the speedo problem? Will a tuner do the trick or...

    Just like you guys said. Took it to the dealer and they said this is a normal heat buildup. Being there is no heat shield under there and the header pipes run through there that it may tend to get kinda hot. They even compared it to another one like mine and it did the same thing. So somehow...

    It was a bit warmer today than normal but nothing like it will be in August. (August in South Florida = Blast Furnace) I'd be surprised if it was weather related but you never know. With luck the dealer will find something definitive and repairable under waranty.

    Wow! I sure hope you're right. I just have to wonder why I haven't noticed it before. It was very pronounced and very sudden tonight. This thing really has me worked up. Hopefully you're right and it's nothing.

    Follow up: Just went out and checked things out as best I could. Been parked for about 30 min. Opened the hood and things felt unusually hot. Even the hood prop was still very hot. Reached under and the exhaust pipes under the front seats are a bit warm but not hot enough to generate the heat...
