    MAC Straight Shot CAI

Leave the screen in and that will straighten out the air flow. I just don't like that superheated air getting sucked into the engine. :flag:

    MAC Straight Shot CAI

Don't believe the claims of the manufacturer.....ever! :nono: Contrary to what Get-It says, you will see some increase but not anywhere near what the mfgr claims, and without the exhaust opened up it will be even less. If you do install a CAI make it one that goes into the fenderwell. Sucking...

Is the Kenne Bell 75mm throttle body 50-state legal?

Here's a unique idea, why not talk to KB. It seems to me they'd be the most likely people to be able to answer your questions. :bang:

    kenne bell 1.7 question

I put down 376rwhp with my automatic and stock gears. This is my daily driver so tune is conservative, meaning not as much timing dialed in and A/F at WOT is 11:1. See sig for mods.

Are GT and Cobra Anti-moan brackets the same???

The rears are not the same. Go to http://www.2kgt.com/item.php?itemid=104 Scroll down a ways. He shows a side by side comparison of the GT vs Cobra anti-moan brackets. In the write up he explains how he had to remove the quad-shock bracket on his GT in order for the Cobra anti-moan to fit when...

    Seat extension?

This won't work on an '02 GT driver's side (don't know about other years). There's a bump up at the end of the rail that nests into a hollow molded into the bottom of the seat. When you move the rail forward the bump up has nothing to nest into. :bang: It will work on the passenger side though.

replaced IAC... still having idle problems.

Just a guess but if it was me I'd start looking for a vacume leak somewhere. Recheck all your connections and hoses for leaks cracks or splits.

    Traction Control Question

Let's put this one to bed.... :bang: To quote from the 2002 Mustang Workshop Manual.... The traction control system controls wheelspin by modulating the engine torque by communicating to the powertrian control module (PCM) and by applying, then releasing, the appropriate brake to restore...

KB versus Novi 2000 - which is better for cold weather, cold startups?

I live in Michigan. Drive my KB blown stang year round. Never had any problem. The only cold weather warning I could find in the manual was to say not to go WOT until the engine was fully warmed up. I keep mine below 3500 rpm until it's hot. Unless you're looking to make 600 rwhp (better have...

anybody know the spring rate on the eibach pro kit?

Here's a chart I found. Can't vouch for the accuracy (hope this posts with the right spacing). -------------------------------------------------Rate(lbs/in)-------------------Drop(in.) ---------------------------PartNo.--------front--------rear----------------front------rear 2000 Mustang...

H&R Super Sports installed, question in regards to ride quality

NO!... You don't need a bump steer kit.... here's why you don't see one on the MM site. From MM instructions. BUMPSTEER Bumpsteer is the toe setting of a wheel changing as the suspension moves up and down over bumps, or with body roll while cornering. There is a myth that the tie...

Kenne Bell 1.7 (2.2?) Questions - Switching Pulley At Track, Swapping Chips, Big Tube

    1. If you really want to go to the track get the KB "Switch Chip". 1 program for street and a different one for the strip. Change between the 2 with the flick of a switch. Just make sure you've got the right octane and pully on when you switch from one to the other. 2. It can't hurt. You'll...

    air intake temperature

Now you know why Ford go's to all that trouble and expense to install a thru the fender air intake as stock. AND... why when changing to a free flowing CAI you should always get one that go's thru the fender and doesn't suck in that HOT under hood air.

    TB or Pulleys

I hate to see people get misinformed so some one who knows what they're talking jump in here. It used to be changing the pulleys would help pick up a number of ponies by turning things slower (ok, if you're not caught in rush hour stop-n-go). But, Ford changed the pulleys, I think starting...

    Possible Suspension Problem

It's kind of hard to help when you don't even tells us what you're driving. On my 02 GT with the Mach 1000 stereo, all that is in the trunk is a shelf. It is not part of the suspension. I took mine out. Got to have room for the golf clubs.

    3V - Is this A/F Safe

DBMSTNG.....Thanks for the explaination. :hail2: SILVER.... I'm with DBMSTNG on this one. A higher A/F = a leaner mix. Remember it's an AIR to fuel ratio so the first number is air. A 14:1 A/F is leaner than 12:1.

    3V - Is this A/F Safe

Ask to see their dyno sheets. Also, dyno #'s will vary from dyno to dyno - operator to operator - and atmospheric conditions. One man's 400 is another man's 390. I'm also pushing an auto with stock gears and MAF on stock tires in a daily driver. I get into (and out of) enough trouble with what...

    3V - Is this A/F Safe

I was/am under the impression the optimum A/F ratio (I think it's called "stoich" or something like that) is 14.??. This is where there is a near prefect match between the number of oxygen molecules and gas/fuel molecules to max the burn and power output. But everyone here, and on other boards...

    power seat room??

On an '02 the seat mod won't work on the driver's side. The stock rail has a bump-up that matches a hollow molded into the bottom of the seat. You can't move the seat back and reattach it because the bump-up doesn't have any where to go. New rails/rail extenders may be the only answer. This...
