    Raining Hard and Traction control?

Mine is permanently off as a matter of personal preference. I don't want the computer driving my car...I want to drive my car. Plus, I wasn't too keen on the idea of cutting fuel to the cylinders to reduce power output. I really think Ford just put this in the car as a marketing tool. I have...

    NITROUS QUESTION

This is probably fine provided that you have all of the supporting mods to support the nitrous kit such as RPM window switch, Fuel pressure safety switch, 1-2 steps colder copper plugs, premium fuel, and MOST importantly a good dyno tune. What type of kit are you running?

    Help..Having Gasoline Problems..I think

I had this very same problem a few months back. I suspected that it was stemming from the IAC or the TPS. I started the cheapest way possible be adjusting the parameters that were within my control. First, I loosened the two screws that hold the TPS and twisted the TPS slightly (whatever the...

Light bulbs behind the HVAC controls

I replaced the two hvac bulbs in my '04 GT. I believe they were the 194 bulbs. Take the old ones out, push the new ones in and done!

    Different size F+R wheels

okay, no responses... Well, is there any practical reason NOT to do different sizes? Or is it that no one likes the look of the smaller/larger setup?

    4.30's or 4.10's?

There are a few things that you should consider when choosing gears... 1. What is your ultimate goal with the car? DD, weekend warrior, dedicated race car? 2. What type of power do you plan to make? If you intend to stay NA, I would say to go with a 4.30 set. If you plan on doing a...

    Different size F+R wheels

I was just curious if anyone is running different diameter front and rear wheels. I would like to see some pics with different setups. For example: 17"x8" front with 18"x10" rears or 18"x8" fronts with 19"x9.5" rear, etc. I am interested in this configuration mostly for the looks... Post 'em up

    which oil pan?

Are you running a stroker kit? I'm not sure why the crank would be hitting the baffles. It seems that you may have another problem... I have the Moroso 7 qt pan and I can speak to notching the passenger side k-member. The pan fit fine where is was supposed to be I just took the precaution and...

These parts from a blower setup too much for a N/A motor?

If you plan on going the heads/cams route, then I would defintely hold on to those parts. With the setup in my sig. and a svt focus pump, the stock injectors were at the upper limit of what they can spray. I should really upgrade to 30 lb injectors or at least some 24s.

    Romeo valve covers

I'm not sure that Ford Racing produces a valve cover for the 2V. You may consider Moroso, Team Breed (bullittmansparts.com) or BBK. I have the BBK covers and I wouldn't recommend them. There is no relief for the gaskets like the oem covers have and there was no baffle for the PCV valve, causing...

    UNDERDRIVE PULLIES

I have a set of the BBK pulleys. I've had them (alt, water, crank)on the car for almost three years now with no problems at all. IMHO, there is no difference in horsepower whether it's a piggyback setup or dedicated crank dampener. The belt is rotating around the same diameter pully and the...

    Is 4.30 gears too much?

4.30s for me and no regrets. If you are struggling with traction out of the hole, then you may want to consider upgrades to the suspension and rubber... Gears are only one piece of the overall equation.

This is what happens to stock motor with comp 278's

I would absolutely degree those cams...even with the flycut. Degreeing your cams does two things: 1. ensures proper clearance and timing and 2. optimizes valve timing to provide maximum power gains. If you don't bother degreeing cams, you are rolling the dice. You may get lucky and the PTV...

    Valve chatter

What are the rest of your mods? Did you have your pistons flycut with valve reliefs? If not, then its near impossible to degree the XE278AH's. The noise could be piston-to-valve contact resulting from not properly degreeing the cams, lack of valve reliefs, or both. As for the noise getting...
