You never cease to amaze me. I can't wait to see the '94 coming together. :SNSign:

What's the max lift cam I can go and pass emissions..?

If I remember correctly, duration and more importantly valve overlap is what will affect your emissions most.

    SHIFTING TO 351

351W is the way to go. You don't want to mess with the headaches of switching to a 351C, unless you want to go with a carbed setup. I wouldn't do that.

    boosted 5.8 build

I just wanted to add that I don't think that the 185s would be too small for any boosted setup that is intended to be driven on the street. I could swear I've read about boosted 347s that make 600+ with non-ported 185s and a Novi 2000. Anyway, Good Luck!

    Eaton or Auburn?

I have an Auburn Pro now........next time I'll get an Eaton. No problems, but it is kind of noisy sometimes when the fluid gets hot and I'm going around corners.

Are caster camber plates used for strengthening the strut towers??

CC plates are not necessary with a mild drop. I've ran C springs for a couple years with stock plates. Now, 4 bolt caster camber plates are necessary when running coil-overs on our cars. Without them, you will run the risk of tearing the strut towers.

How do I know if it's the Radiator or the Water Pump?

Turn the car off and reach under the neck of the waterpump. Behind the pulley, on the bottom. There should be a little hole, it's called the weep hole. If that is wet then it's your water pump. The radiators usually leak from one of the end tanks, so look for that at the bottom corners of...

Anybody buy the Ford c-springs? Howdya like em?

I love my C-springs. If you wanted anything stiffer than them, I would go to a coil-over set-up. I'm using Mach 1 shocks and struts and they match up great. I'm not running caster/camber plates, although I am finally going to get some here soon when I do a few upgrades. If you're...

Poll: LSx Motor in a Mustang

Low, I think you could get LS1 peak power from a 347, but I doubt you could get the area under the curve that you can with the LS1, along with great driveability. The LS series motors have wonderfully designed heads. I still can't get over the fact that these motors have heads that flow...

Poll: LSx Motor in a Mustang

I know what you mean. I think it stems from the fact that you can't get a V-8 in a small BMW or at all in an RX7. Plus, those rotory motors are pretty high maintenance. I think I'm starting to see the light from you guys. Dropping in an LS1 would be something to try on a v-6 or 4 cylinder...

Poll: LSx Motor in a Mustang

You guys aren't making this easy! :p You know, I could get a lot closer to LS2 power if I went with a carb intake converted to FI, 393cid, and 2.75" mains. Hmm....

How hard is it to change the lower control arms?

The hardest part is getting the axle side LCA bolts out after they've rusted themselves into the bushing sleeves. Other than that, it's a couple hour job.

Poll: LSx Motor in a Mustang

That's what I'm screaming Joe. Granted it would be more money than I would spend, but there are LS7 based aftermarket parts out there that will allow you to build 600-700hp naturally aspirated stroker smallblocks!

Poll: LSx Motor in a Mustang

I honestly don't have the numbers, but I was under the impression that a SC4.6 crate motor was close to 10 grand while I think an LS2 is around $5-6K. I would look up the exact costs, but I don't have the time while at work. :(

Poll: LSx Motor in a Mustang

Really? I get a boner when I see an LS1 in a BMW or RX7. I've also thought about the terminator swap, but they are just sooo damn expensive!

Poll: LSx Motor in a Mustang

Ok guys, at the risk of being banned permanently from Stangnet, I have to ask. What do you guys think about a chevy motor in a mustang? Let's face it, the LS2, LS6 and LS7 are better than any windsor motor, especially when you factor in cost and weight. I want to keep my car N/A and the...

    built my own panhard bar

I would not recommend making a safety critical component (A-arms) yourself. Good job on the p-rod!

I've decided to go with MM Coilover kit...but

I would go with the standard duty RLCAs. I also would skip the bushings for the upper control arms and get a panhard rod. If I'm not mistaken, the panhard rod mount also doubles as a coil-over mount on one side of the car. Otherwise, I think you have to buy the mount separately. Don't...

Issues to whatch for in a 94/95 convertible?

Leaky water pump Leaky radiator I'd also remove the grey trunk panel on the passenger side and check for water down in the corner. My car had a water leak around the gas filler that let water get in there and caused some rust. With 196K miles, my Mustang convertable has never left me...
