hey guyz...got a 95 mustang and planning to shift it from 302 to 351 ... my

my question is which one is better is it 351W OR 351 C ?? and what parts do

u suggest to change and what parts would i need for this one and would my

t-5 gear box would handle that power ?? and would my 8.8'' differentail

handle that power ?? and what clutch would i need for that one and if u have

have more suggestions u are welcome ...cheers

Search...been covered a million times. On here, in the 5.0 section, on www.corral.net, its all over. With all the aftermarket stuff for the windors there really is no reason to go with a cleveland. A t-5 can barely handle a decent 302 so no way on the 351...but u can probably baby it until u can get a tranny to stand up to the torque. But thats all in perspective cause if u dont get traction then u dont get the drive train shock...but if u do get traction then something is gonnna take the brute stress of it all. Same thing goes for your rear end....if u put a slick on it, it will probably blow. But with street tires or even drag radials, u'll be fine most likely. Its nothing a 31 spline setup wont stop.

Clutch is no different than a 5.0 as are the heads. There are some minor differences and other things in common which can be found in a quick search.

What do you want to do with the car? Street, race, oval track, autocross, drift (I hope not), etc.

Are you limited by class constraints? Renegade, etc etc

Budget.

If you put 5.0 parts on a 5.8 block, you get 5.0 performance.

Your T5 will be crushed into pulp.

How much power will your 8.8 be seeing? NA, just beef it up. But a 418 stroker Dart block running a 200 wet plate? Big difference.

I mean he can make all the power in the world but if all the thing does is slide around on the ground like its on ice the tranny and rear wont be seeing much abuse. He does have to be a little more descriptive of what he wants out of the thing for us to give straight forward answers.
